Description

Kaiken‘s own vineyards supply 70% of their production requirements and 30% is from vineyards that they control. Kaiken Winery is located in the district of Vistalba and relies on state-of-the-art technology. All of its wines are made with grapes sourced from estates distributed across the very best winemaking areas in the provinces of Mendoza (such as Vistalba, Agrelo and Vista Flores) and Salta (Cafayate). The Kaikén wines are faithful expressions of the Mendoza terroir and for wines of this quality offer tremendous value for money. Chardonnay Wine | Chenin Blanc Wine | Grauburgunder Wine | Gewürztraminer Wine | Pinot Grigio Wine | Sauvginon Blanc Wine | Soave Wine | Torrontes Wine | Viognier Wine | Weißburgunder Wine The focus is primarily on Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon, a variety that has been somewhat forgotten as Malbec has surfed one wave of success after another in the past decade.

For the salad, place the soy sauce, ginger, chilli, garlic, lemon juice, fish sauce and sugar in a bowl and whisk to combine.Meaning ‘first’ in the Pehuenche dialect, ‘Mai’ is Kaiken’s top wine. Sourced from 100-year-old vines in Vistalba, this 100% Malbec is structured and powerful yet balanced. It is aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, which lends the wine a complexity and roundness that carries through to the finish. The wine is ready to be enjoyed now but has the intensity and structure to age for the next decade. The Kaiken Clasico Malbec palate is smooth, with well-balanced acidity, round and elegant tannins and a medium-long finish. To serve, arrange the leaves on a plate. Thinly slice the beef fillet and arrange it over the salad leaves. Wine from Bierzo | Wine from Carinena | Wine from Douro | Wine from Montsant | Wine from Priorat | Wine from Penedès | Wine from Rioja | Wine from Ribera del Duero | Wine from Somontano These are complex wines that blend the best Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec with varieties that have tremendous personality, such as Bonarda and Petit Verdot.

Originally planting the variety in secret from his father, it was through experimentation that Aurelio Montes Junior discovered that the Uco Valley’s high-altitude vineyards were well suited to growing Cabernet Franc. Aurelio Junior has pioneered this variety in Argentina and, together with a handful of other winemakers, has highlighted the country’s potential to produce top quality Cabernet Franc. ‘Obertura’ displays an intense and complex nose, with fresh redcurrants, plums, and some spicy notes of pepper and clove.

Discover New Regions for Malbec

The highest peaks of the Andes are found in Mendoza: with 22.832 ft, Aconcagua is the highest peak in America. The presence of the Andes, which act as a barrier to the humid winds of the Pacific, added to the distance to the Atlantic Ocean, shape the climate generating ideal conditions for the cultivation of vines. The altitude, continental climate, heterogeneity of soils and the snowmelt are key factors for the production of excellent wines, which add to a significant winemaking tradition. When the glass is tipped this wine really coats it up! Slow falling legs then form and glide down the sides of the glass. Aroma
