Filling of Bourbon casks was immediately ceased and in 2009, much to the delight of malt fans across the world, GlenDronach “re-released” its iconic core range of 12, 15 and 18 year old 100% Sherried single malts. Glendronach 19 yo 1995/2015 (55.1%, OB, Whisky Nerds, oloroso sherry butt, cask #2380, 628 bottles) - 310817 With Water: Several drops of water improves the chocolate notes (fudge), while also reviving the fresh fruits notes that had languished while sitting in the glass. The palate is fresher, the finish sweeter. I highly recommend trying this first without water, and then adding a little to see how it changes for you. Granted, that’s not super inspiring, but I guess that doesn’t really matter, because I bet there’s not much of an overlap between the average traveler and readers of this blog.
