Description

If you like to brew in small batches or if you’re also making wine or kombucha at home, this is perfect for smaller fermenters. It fits nicely around a 3.5-gallon fermenter, with a bit of room to spare. Returned goods remain responsibility of customer until received by us. You must take reasonable care when returning goods to ensure they are not damaged in transit. Brewing Mate Heat Belt has a variable power output thermostat allowing you to dial in the exact fermentation temperature and keep the yeast healthy and thriving. Remember, in low temperature fermentation may stall and in high temperature the yeast will produce off flavours.

If a problem happens with the delivery please let us know and we will do our best to help, we can talk to Parcel Force to help solve the problem. A little bit more expensive, but from a reliable brewing equipment supplier is the FermoTemp Electric Fermentation Heater from Northern Brewer. We liked that this belt was a little more robust than the FermoWrap, making it feel a little more durable. The Better Brew heat belt is safe for use in the UK and is double insulated, it is supplied with a UK plug and has a CE mark and meets all UK regulations One of the most critical factors to successful homebrew is fermentation temperature. Yeast likes to sit between a particular temperature range to work effectively.

Brew Belt / Heat Belt - Love Brewing

TopBrewing™ Heat Belt Limitations - The Brew Belt is continually on, it has no thermostat or control and requires manually positioning at the right height to get the temperature of the brew where you want it. Consider using a heater device in conjunction with a timer if needed, temperatures are often lower on a night so it may be sufficient to have the heater set to apply heat at night only if the brew is getting too warm with it on constantly, or perhaps 2 hours on, 2 hours off etc. The Brew Belt can be used to aid fermentation with one or two demijohns or any make of 5 Gallon/25 Litre vessel and is suitable for both beer and wine making. It is designed to be used during primary fermentation and to aid the start of secondary fermentation. The heat can be regulated by moving the Brew Belt higher or lower on the vessel. If it needs to be warmer lower the belt, if it is getting too warm, slide it up the outside of the vessel. The TopBrewing™ heat belt is a revolution in brewing temperature control, with its own temperature control dial you can regulate the heat unlike any other belt on the market. No more moving the belt up and down the demijohn to get the temperature right, just setup the thermometer on the outside of the demijohn and regulate the temperature using the dial. The most popular size is the TE25 which hold up to a 25 litre vessel, as it can also be used to stand smaller vessels on, such as 1 or 2 demijohns.Low Wattage/Economical 230 volts 25 watts Suitable particularly for glass demijohns and can be used in larger fermenting vessels such as our 25L vessel but is a little awkward to get the cable in/out. Please note that if an airtight fit is required with a fermenting vessel, a suitable hole for the bored 1 gallon bung would need to be drilled. The Better Brew heat belt is permanently on and has no thermostat, heat can be regulated by moving the Brew Belt higher or lower on the vessel – move it lower for more heat, or higher for less heat.

If you do a double brew in a 60l fermenter you should think about using a heat belt. Also if you have a Stainless steel fermenter with a plastic base then a belt is best.
