I was embarrassed and distressed by my appearance. I tried everything, even went to a well known makeup artist. I could never hide the scar, I would end up with a heavy caked look, that frankly looked worse than the scar. It takes some patience and practice, but Dermaflage does work and is amazing! I do recommend using the primer, too. even if it’s not perfect( any kind of makeup will never be !), it does what it’s supposed too: fill/ hide a scar in an amazing way.

Dermaflage is a life saver and I don’t want them to go bankrupt. I’ve literally tried everything from fillers to scar wax. Fillers is too expensive and I almost had necrosis so I stopped and tried looking for an alternative. Scar wax crinkles and looks fake on areas where there is muscle movement. Only dermaflage moves with my skin. I also tried diy silicone makeup and it was unnatural because it always looked shiny. The texture pad is where the magic is at! With the dermaflage texture pad, the silicone will have skin like texture. If you live in a hot, humid country like I do, it’s useful to have the air-conditioner on at a cold, dry setting when you are applying the Dermaflage. This helps the product to dry and cure faster and gives a better finish.

Count on wasting a mixing tip or two while you get used to how much product you actually need. (Each tip can only be used once. But you can always mix and apply the product by hand with the spatula included.) it personally last me all day, even doing exercice and sweating. But i make sure my scar is dry and clean, no cream or oily makeup on it. Apply a generous amount of Setting Powder, allow to set for 2 minutes. Then brush off excess powder with a brush. it take a few times before understanding the correct way of applying the product. It’s normal. I personally only use about a drop of the product to fill a scar. It will last me a good month in a half/ two month. When you found the right way of applying it( not too much, putting an even pressure with tue pad) it’s 95% invisible LOVE IT!!!! I feel so comfortable on camera now. Here is what I learned: I tell everyone I know about this product. It is truly life changing for those of us challenged by a scar. Next problem, none of the colours match!!! Get two different applicator colours! I am neutral pale. Fair was too dark. Golden fair was too yellow. Porcelain was too pink! I had to mix Golden fair with porcelain. Golden fair with fair also worked too to give myself the perfect colour match. Tip! Refrigerate before mixing two different colours to give more working time!

Do not apply a lot of pressure when holding the pad on. Let it feel organic. If it is very hot (I’m in Texas) it will be a bit more liquid at first.
