It is nice for her to have a book that she can show to other kids, or relatives to let them know "who" she is to maybe let them understand her a bit better, as often they do not - especially family.

Cats have many of the traits of Asperger Sydrome children, though I don't agree with some of her comparisons. I only partly agree, because while those signs might exist at an early age, they are often not recognized! Your mileage may vary, but I am still delightfully sharing and spreading the magic of All Cats Are on the Autism Spectrum – and hope you do, too. Changing the title of the book makes more sense because it covers all types of autism that are diagnosed under the umbrella. There are a number of symptoms that human beings display when they have autism that your cat can also display. Experts have debated over this matter and they have reached a conclusion that there is a chance that cats can suffer from autism. For example, a person with autism may say, “You look silly wearing that,” and the other person may feel offended.

All Cats Have Asperger Syndrome by Kathy Hoopmann | Goodreads

All Cats are on the Autism Spectrum and All Dogs have ADHD are updated versions of Kathy’s previously published and successful books All Cats Have Asperger Syndrome and All Dogs Have ADHD. A good book for giving parents hope that their child is not a lost cause and explaining it to siblings. This book captures our spirit, highlights our individuality, easily explains in an image, so many of our playful and meaningful behaviours, as well as showcases our strengths. Interactive Cat Toy 360 Degree Self Rotating Ball and Petstages Tower of Tracks Cat Toy are some of the interactive toys I bought for my cat so that she doesn’t feel lonely. So when it came time to update my book to current terminology and sensitivities, I was faced with a very difficult task to get things right, especially knowing that word usage and correctness changes regularly. This book is an updated version of the author’s 2006 All Cats Have Asperger Syndrome and since then what is considered acceptable terminology has changed and the author says in her note for this edition that people’s views are not all the same and that she hopes ‘readers will see past the finer details of disagreement and join me in celebrating, and deepening our understanding of, the richness and diversity of the autistic community.
