Your cross trainer can last for years with regular use, but even commercial-grade models need routine maintenance. Perhaps not a feature in its own right, but something we felt should be highlighted, is the build quality of the ZR8. Another significant factor to consider when purchasing an elliptical bike is the stride length. It aids in determining the amplitude of leg movement and, as a result, pedaling comfort. Reebok isn’t only a shoemaker; the company also produces a line of cross trainers that is exceptionally durable and easy to use. This is a cross trainer that comes with 12 pre-set workout programs and a staggering 32 levels of resistance, allowing you to adjust the resistance slowly over time.Basic maintenance can do a lot to keep your machine up and running when you need it most. But even with proper maintenance, there are internal components and electronic components that can and do break. You should perform maintenance and troubleshooting before calling a technician to work on your machine. The ZR9 the footplates are adjustable unlike the ZR8, 10 which does allow little movement should you fit into the category of being very tall or short.The ZR8 is not the largest cross trainer and stands at a height of 169cm with a length of 144cm and a width of 63cm. Although it is somewhat diminutive in stature, it looks and feels robust and will suit users up to a height of 6’1″ quite comfortably.

The console, if it runs off of a battery, should have the battery replaced when it dies. Replacing the battery routinely allows you to always be ready to begin your next cardio session. If you have a console that connects to the mains, you won’t have to worry about battery replacement issues. At 9kg I feel I get the best of both worlds: a smooth movement and a low price. You can tell if you have a heavy fly wheel as there will still be some forward pressure as you try and stop. I believe Reebok have the right balance with the GX40s as some of their previous models have a 7kg fly wheel that can feel a bit light for some users. 15 inch stride length I don’t like working with machines that have a 7kg flywheel. These appear to be low-cost toys. However, because I prefer a low-impact kind of training, anything more than 10kg makes little sense.
