The mouse’s buoyant 63g weight and large underside skates help it slide seamlessly along your mousepad or desk, and it really feels beautifully smooth in use. Whether you’re flying around the screen in a frenzy of RTS micromanagement or ponderously renewing contracts for your squad of egotistical divas in Football Manager, you’re going to love doing it with this mouse (well, maybe not the contracts bit). The Endgame MPC Cordura mousepad was also reviewed along with the XM2we, and it offers an extremely high-quality finish, with lovely edge stitching that makes it immediately a step above other mousepads, such as the options from Vaxee, which we think were a bit of an afterthought to their hardware. In addition to the CPI, the XM2we Configuration Software can be used to adjust other aspects of the Endgame Gear XM2we Gaming Mouse. The polling rate can be selected, with options of 125, 250, 500, and 1000Hz. As standard, the lift-off distance (LoD) is 2mm, but this can be reduced to 1mm. What’s more, you can configure the debounce time to best suit your gameplay style.

The Endgame Gear XM2we draws a lot of inspiration from its predecessor, the XM1. Its overall style and performance goals are mirrored – even down to the same dry coat finish for enhanced grip. A few key differences are the upgraded internals already spoken about and the overall weight. The XM2we is an ultra-lightweight gaming mouse, at approximately 63g. Each of the side buttons also gets that premium treatment, with a very short throw which makes each tap satisfying. The wheel of the mouse also feels incredibly sturdy when compared to the likes of the Razer DeathAdder V3.Speaking of gory explosions, let’s talk about the XM2we’s gaming performance. This is something of a mixed bag: flashes of excellence mingled in with frustrating shortcomings. After putting the hours in and testing the mouse, what we found surprised us in a way that the likes of Glorious and Vaxee wished they could muster. Key specs Chasing the victory royales in Fortnite has never been easier, we found that adjusting our settings for the title allowed us to be snappier while we played with long-range weapons such as the Heavy Sniper Rifle. The same went for AWP’ing in CS:GO, the mouse just allowed us to perform incredibly well, owing to the XM2we’s lightweight and excellent sensor. Eloshapes The Endgame Gear XM2we Gaming Mouse has been crafted to provide high performance whilst remaining at a competitive price point. The “we” in the name even stands for “Wireless Essential”. Following this tenant, the Endgame Gear XM2we is equipped with a Pixart PAW3370 sensor, with a resolution of up to 19,000 CPI. Utilising the XM2we Configuration Software, you can adjust the CPI from 50 to 10,000 by increments of 50 CPI, or by 100 CPI between 10,000 and 19,000 CPI.
