As in the prophylaxis experiment (pre-viral load application), data from the mitigation arm of the study (post-viral load application) were also analyzed with a linear mixed-effect model ( Figure 3C,D), which revealed that (i) the time profile (replication kinetics) of SARS-CoV-2 titer was not impacted by matrix or saline solution; (ii) the time profile of SARS-CoV-2 titer in the presence of AM-301 was significantly decelerated (SARS-CoV-2 WT, t-value 2.50, p< 0.05; Delta variant, t-value 4.08, p< 0.001) compared with inserts that received saline solution or matrix.
