Description

I finished this cheesecake with swirls of sweetened whipped double cream which acted as a nice container for the pile of loose Maltesers I added to the top. I have made many a cheesecake in a springform tin which gives a larger diameter but flatter cheesecake.

It is rich and creamy with malty crunchy pieces – a true showstopper dessert that’s easy and, best of all, NO BAKE! We are a family of Maltesers lovers (the kids had a Malteser Advent Calendar last year)… so you know a Malteser Cheesecake recipe would eventually land on Supergolden Bakes! It is really important to stick to the ingredients and use full fat cream cheese and double cream (a cream with a 48% fat content), both of these ingredients are essential to ensure the no bake cheesecake sets. Whether using the stovetop or a microwave to heat the chocolate always use a very low heat setting and stir the chocolate frequently to avoid it catching on the bottom of the pan/ bowl and seizing up. For this recipe, you will need: Dark chocolate Hobnobs, butter, cream cheese, double cream, icing sugar, vanilla extract, malt powder and Maltesers.Cut them larger or smaller to suit your own needs, but I honestly recommend not cutting them too much larger as they are quite sweet. This Malteser Cheesecake has a creamy and silky smooth malt filling with chunks of crushed Maltesers in every single mouthful. I used a Wilton 2D piping nozzle to add a ruffled swirl, to do this just hold the piping bag directly above the cheesecake and squeeze drawing the piping bag up as you go until you get the desired height. From Maltesers Chocolate Bags that are ideal snacks to the bigger Maltesers Gift Boxes that make sharing and gifting easy, there’s a classic choice for any occasion. You could pipe whipped cream over the cheesecake if you like, though in my opinion this is overkill!

In 2011, the product gained Fairtrade accreditation in the UK and Ireland by sourcing all their cocoa and sugar under Fairtrade Terms. While you can absolutely make this recipe with a wooden spoon and some elbow grease, I do recommend using an electric mixer for the best results. To make this recipe dairy free and vegan, you can use dairy free chocolate, dairy free butter and some dairy free biscuits instead.

Malteser's Teasers are not gluten free, so you can use milk chocolate instead for the cheesecake base. The general advice is to add 2 teaspoons baking powder (a measuring teaspoon, not the kind you stir your coffee with) per every 200g plain or all purpose flour. You could also use crushed Maltesers in the filling but I prefer using the chocolate spread which has tiny crunchy malty pieces in it.

Golden syrup is sold all over the world, so check the international section in your supermarket if you're not based in the UK. We just felt it really important to let you know that Nutella *might* not be at the top of the chocolate spread food chain anymore, because this one has chunks of Maltesers, which pretty much wins everything. Put the butter, golden syrup, dark chocolate and milk chocolate in a pan and melt together on a low heat, stirring together as it melts. In turn, the self raising flour will need to be replaced with a gluten free self raising flour blend. It’s been a while since the chocolate laced with mini malty bits has been available in bigger forms, but it’s still just as exciting! The general advice is to add 2 tsp baking powder per 200g flour, so for this recipe you'd need to add an additional 1 ¾ teaspoons baking powder. Add-ins: as far as the add-ins go in this Biscoff rocky road recipe, the marshmallows are mandatory, but the other items are up for debate. It's an easy no bake chocolate treat, packed with malted milk biscuits, marshmallows and Maltesers of course.

Traditionally launched with a malt centre and a milk chocolate outer layer, there are now more flavours and variations in the Maltesers range than ever before. If you've never made a no bake cheesecake before, I highly recommend reading through my guide first! Much like the Teasers bars, mini malty balls add the signature Malteser flavour and crunch to their truffles.Perfect for sharing or gifting to your nearest and dearest Malteser lovers, you can beat a box of Maltesers Truffles! a b "Maltesers' ads featuring disabled actors prove to be 'most successful' advert for the brand in 10 years". Topped with smashed, halved and whole Maltesers, swirls of sweetened double cream - I'm honestly not sure you could ask for more in a no-bake cheesecake! If you prefer to microwave the chocolate, butter and biscoff spread, again, do so on a low heat and stir well after every 15 seconds. The biscuit base is malted milk biscuits, then I mixed melted Malteser Teasers into the filling, and the top is decorated with milk chocolate, crushed Maltesers and whipped cream.
