I don’t know what else to say other than Rebecca Jenshak just keeps getting better and better and I love the college sports romance world she has created with this series and the one that came before it. These two get off to a little bit of a rough start, but they are both dedicated to their sports, and they complement each other perfectly. Sienna was the perfect match for him and fit in with the Campus Nights crew as if she had always been there. I’d be lying if I said the cover photo didn’t prompt me into signing up for an arc 😂 but once I’d read the blurb I knew I’d love it and I was right! It’s what every romance reader in the world has been waiting for, an ice hockey player and an ice skater! This is part of her Campus Nights, sports romance series and I just have been having a great time with it.

She’s a college athlete about to skate for the last time, and nothing is going to throw her off course. He was always one of my favourites; quiet and mysterious, and I was so looking forward to finally reading Rhetts book and finding out more about him. He’s fresh off a long-term, long-distance relationship and ready to make the most of what’s left of college. Even though my favourite sports to read about are hockey (like this series is) or football, I do crave different settings and new things to learn about from time to time. And I love getting characters who have unique issues and hers was interesting and just made me love her more.

Rhett has always intrigued me since the beginning, always stuck to his phone and fighting with his ex girlfriend. Both main characters where athlete's and both dealing with some circumstances that at times got a little intense/heavy but I loved the way the story played out and found that I was never once bored. All my attention went to Mav and Dakota like in first two books, anyway next book is about them so I'm excited. Rhett came across as a bad boy hockey player when Sienna first met him but it couldn’t have been further from the truth. But he also can’t seem to get things right- both with his ex, and with his unexpected interest, Sienna, the focused figure skater that he quite literally bumps into.I mean, in my crazy fantasy I thought that trope would mean, I don't know, fights about ice time and hatred of each other sports for taking practice time? And though there’s little drama–at least until close to the end–that doesn’t mean the romance is shallow and meaningless. Not her worries about finding a job after college, not the whispers of last year’s accident on the ice, and not the cute hockey player who keeps asking her out.

Sienna is a talented figure skating (Have I mentioned how much I'm obsessed with figure skating after watching the Winter Olympics 2022? It had a lot of depth and emotion to it and some unexpected twists that kept me fully engrossed the whole story. I liked how sweet and protective he is and all the time on the ice (his hockey, her figure skating) was a lot of fun too! who she was a person), but Rhett stayed with her for multiple reason, which we find out in this book and honestly, once you get to know Rhett, he is loyal, sweet, smart, pretty much everything you’d want in a long term partner and I can see why Carrie – his ex – didn’t want to give him up. This IS one of those books where we don’t meet the ow on page but she’s very much around all the time. I am always so excited to read her next book because I know I’m getting everything I want in a sports romance and more.
