On the bottom is a 3.55 headphone port, Micro SD Card slot and USB Type-C charging port. On the side is a volume button and the top has the power button. The FUNCTION button is the small, circular button in the middle of the device. The OnionOS documentation calls this the MENU button. The following hotkeys work when pressed together with the FUNCTION button. Action It’s very unfortunate that Miyoo didn’t connect any data lines to the USB port. K-TEC have configured a beautiful device. The software works smoothly, and the constant auto save feature is fantastic. Switching between games you are playing is so easy. This device has honestly been a revelation, showing just what can be achieved by a company (British – hooray!) that knows what it is doing. You pay a bit extra but that pays for the configuration which works so well. It is worth it. Hold the POWER button for a few seconds. Your device will now power down safely. If a game is open, your Miyoo Mini will automatically create a save state before shutting down 1. When you next start up your handheld, it will boot straight into the game and continue from that save state. The Miyoo Mini Plus+ has a 3000mAh battery which depending on the system you are emulating will get you up to eight or so hours of gameplay.The RG35XX has a lower mAh and up to around 5 hours depending on usage. Unfortunately making any meaningful changes to the settings of these emulators is hit and miss, with some crashing out to the main menu (SNES9x4D) and others simply refusing to accept changes you have made. For systems such as GBA, whilst the aspect ratio is correct there is a strange pixel filter applied to the image which is not possible to remove at all through the menu options. For some systems the image is scaled correctly but appears soft. This is possibly due to the image being rendered at 320×240 and then scaled to 640×480 using bilinear filtering.

It’s probably a bit more powerful than the JZ4770, and some of the included emulators offer similar performance. Having said that, the SSD202D is built on a 22 or 28nm process, compared to the 65nm of the JZ4770. This should mean better efficiency and potentially a longer battery life.
