Before you enter any tournament, you’ll be able to see how many rewards are available and how many people have registered to play. Which Sorare MLB Tournaments Can I Enter? The first thing you may be drawn to of these cards is the price. That’s not a dumb thing, as it’s definitely the #1 thing I look for. However, the next thing on your mind should be the player XP percentage, in the above case the first card has a 3.5% bonus, but the second card has a 6% bonus. We will start off explaining what Sorare NBA is, and finish off with a FAQ to help you understand every aspect of the platform. What is Sorare NBA & How does it work? NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens) are digital assets with unique characteristics that make them different from each other. These can be one-of-a-kind artworks, in-game items, or – as in Sorare’s case – virtual collectibles representing real-world footballers (and now also MLB and NBA players). This is the point where your head might start to explode as a new user so don’t worry if you don’t instantly take all of this in!

There is undoubtedly a void left as Football Index really had an excitement factor, and multiple people could win at once. With Sorare, you have to adapt to the fact that there can only be one winner (multiple prize positions available) but the payouts are fantastic. We’ve discussed what other platforms do, but now it’s time to explain how Sorare NBA works and how you can get started.

Using the “Play” tab in the Sorare: NBA navigation menu, you’ll be directed to the Sorare: NBA lobby. The Sorare: NBA lobby provides a list of all the upcoming, live, and previously completed fantasy basketball contests. The Card Rewards continue all the way for the Top 90 managers. However, this is still quite competitive, as there’s over 3,500 entrants to this gameweek. Unless you’re buying the top players which are all quite expensive, your chances of finishing on the podium is quite low. However, you’ll also notice in the above that there’s something called ‘Thresholds’. This is where I believe beginners should be focusing some of their efforts. Tournaments come in different scarcity iterations, with various pool prizes to accompany them. The Rookie League is also available to new players using common cards, although this only runs for a limited time. After 8 game weeks, players will need to upgrade to one of the higher tiers. Additionally, tournaments come with a variety of rules and restrictions. These specify the card scarcities that can be entered, as well as the player’s average rating requirement. If you satisfy a tournament’s requirements, you sign up for your respective game week and proceed to select your (hopefully) winning squad. Building your winning team

The Sorare database uses Ajax search functions too, which means that if you spell a players name incorrectly, it will still show you the player that it thinks you want. Another common mistake made by many new players is to buy only random players in the game, without thinking about the league or the competitions they come from. This can really limit the amount of rewards you’ll be able to grab.

Tools, communities, and resources

Below, you will see the free cards I received for doing so. These cards are pretty good, with long term utility. All tournaments on Sorare are free to enter but without buying any cards (more details on that further down this Sorare getting started guide), you’ll initially be restricted just to Common card tournaments. Sorare’s unique model has won the support of key companies such as ConenSys, Ubisoft, and Opta, as well as the global soccer industry. Barcelona star Gerard Piqué is a seed investor, and many of the world’s most popular soccer clubs are officially listed in the game. Additionally, Sorare pays cash prizes denominated in ETH for first, second and third place in each tournament. Players can win up to 1 ETH, and the total prize pool is over 20 ETH.
