But what makesEcoAir dehumidifiers so good? And which are the company's best models? Keep reading to find out. Who Are EcoAir?

Rapid control of humidity & indoor laundry drying. Controls mould, condensation and bacteriagrowth. The DD122FW-MK5 - or just the DD1 MK5 for short - is one of the most popular EcoAir desiccant dehumidifiers. It's a quiet model with aclassic design and range of useful features. Other features include automatic shut-off when the water tank is full, a continuous drainage option and three options for humidity control. There are also two fan settings and a laundry function. Emptying the tank is simple, although you'll need to replace the filter every 4-6 months. An interesting feature of this Delonghi dehumidifier is the double filtration system. It combines an allergen filter with a regular dust filter, which helps to improve the air quality in your home. We don't think it's a solution to allergies, but it could certainly help relieve symptoms in some situations. Despite the small size and low extraction rate, the PB-02 dehumidifier is still effective at removing moisture from the air of small rooms. Other features include a lightweight 1.1kg design, automatic shut-off when the tank is full and a full-tank indicator. It also only requires 20W of power to run.

The energy efficiency of a dehumidifier is a vital consideration. You can get a rough estimate by looking at the power rating and using our running costs guide, but you also need to consider factors such as temperature, relative humidity and the type of dehumidifier. Most importantly, the EcoAir Summit S is effective at removing water from the air in warm environments. It's much less effective in cooler environments, so we recommend a desiccant dehumidifier for a garage or conservatory. The great thing about the DC12 is that, despite its compact design, it comes with a 3.5 litre water tank. This is significantly larger than many other dehumidifiers in its price range. If you want a machine that doesn't need to be emptied too often, the DC12 is a great choice. litre water tankcapacity with continuous drainage option, concealed easy glide castorwheels and washable air filter. While it's not the quietest model on the market, its noise output on lower settings is acceptable if you're in the same room. It's also not great at removing water from the air of cooler environments. We wouldn't recommend it for garages or conservatories. Unfortunately not - dehumidifiers typically use too much energy over an extended period to be powered by batteries. Battery dehumidifiers might become available as technology progresses, but not at the moment. As a desiccant model with an 8 litre per day capacity, the Zambezi is more effective incooler temperatures than refrigerant models. At 10 degrees Celsius, for example, it's able to extract up to 7.5 litre per day depending on humidity. This makes it suitable for garages, conservatories and other cooler areas. With a 10 litre capacity, the DD322 probably isn't powerful enough to be a whole home dehumidifier unless you have a maximum of 2-3 bedrooms. The good news is that it only weighs 8.5kg, so it's relatively easy to move between rooms when needed. The PB-15-UK is a refrigerant dehumidifier. It's one of the biggest models we've reviewed, with a bulky footprint and a very heavy 17kg design. In other words, it's not the right tank for a small flat or home!

The EcoAir DC12 Mk2 is a relatively compact dehumidifier that's an affordable choice for small homes. It has a maximum extraction rate of 11 litres per day, castor wheels for easier portability, and a lower price than most refrigerant dehumidifiers. Within a week we had 12 panels installed by Keith and Anthony who even did a couple of little repairs on the roof for us, which was over and above their remit. Not a tile damaged by two expert installers. The EcoAir DC202 is one of our favourite models from this brand. It's a refrigerant dehumidifier with built-in purification system to remove odours, allergens and dust mites from the air. The DC202 also has a powerful 20 litre per day capacity and large water tank, so it's truly an all-round machine.Compact portable dehumidifier with max 12 Litres/day extraction rate. 2 litre water tank capacity with continuous drainage option, concealed easy glide castor wheels and washable air filter. Even so, if you have a large house or struggle with severe damp,a higher capacity dehumidifier is nearly always a better option. For smaller houses, caravans, mild damp problems or single rooms where space is importantyou can get away with less capacity. The biggest downsides to this dehumidifier are that it's heavy and relatively noisy. These issues are a direct consequence of the dehumidifier's fast moisture extraction though. So, if you need to remove a lot of water from the air, the trade-off is worth it.

We like the control panel of the Summit S. The "On" button has three colours depending on the humidity, so you can see the current level at a glance. There's also a timer and active humidity display on the control panel. A dehumidifier will not get rid of mould that's already inside your property. It can, however, prevent it from returning after treatment. The new Summit-S has an additional sleep mode, an enhanced version of our popular original classic Summit mode. When in sleep mode, only the Sleep light indicator will be on. The noise level in the sleep mode is quieter at only 35 dBA.The two main types are refrigerant (sometimes known as compressor)and desiccant. Refrigerant dehumidifiers are the most common in the UK and are most effective at higher humidities and temperatures. This makes them suitable for the average British home (especially in your kitchen or bathroom), but less effective in garages or conservatories. Desiccant dehumidifiers are most effective at lower humidities and temperatures. They are great in garages or colder homes. There are also peltier dehumidifiers, although these are usually notrecommended above other options. However, if you have a big home and need to remove a lot of humidity, then the Pro Breeze is one of the best dehumidifiers on the market. It excels at pulling moisture out of the air and is a great choice for damp rooms. Keep in mind that, like all refrigerant dehumidifiers, it's more effective in warmer environments, but it still does a decent job in cooler locations. It's also fantastic at removing water from the air. As it's a desiccant model, it excels at room temperature or below. For drying out a few rooms at the same time, the DD322 Classic is an excellent option. Suitability - The EcoAir Summit S Dehumidifier is an excellent means of preventing mould, condensation, spores, fungi and bacteria growth. It's perfect for use in kitchens, basements, bathrooms, bedrooms, garages, etc. It works best at temperatures between 5 and 32 degrees Celsius.
