Spread the cream cheese on the ham. Spread about 1 & 1/2 tablespoons on each slice of ham, making sure to cover them all the way to the edges. If you are planning on freezing, I would recommend using full fat cream cheese to make this recipe as low-fat tends to turn watery when frozen then thawed. Therefore, sadly, production was no longer commercially viable and the product had to be discontinued. The UK favourite, which was popularised in the 1980s, has been cut from KP due to “declining demand”. Melt the butter in a large frying pan on a medium heat and fry the toasties for 2–3 minutes on each side, or until crisp and golden-brown.
