Description

Revenge of the Fallen Leader-class Optimus Prime is an entirely different mold from the first movie's Leader-class Optimus Prime. Buster Prime's paint job is deffinately better than the original release. However, I personally think that it's missing too paint details in robot mode. Leading to the robot mode looking a little too shiny and one note. It is the only version of the mold that uses chrome and has the flame pinstripes in alt-mode. The flames are personally the only thing I like about this specific release. Chromed plastic is fragile, and those alt-mode grills end up on the bottom of his feet. So you have to be very careful about how you handle and pose him. There is another release that you might want to look into. It's Movie the Best MB-11 Optimus Prime. This mold uses silver paint instead of chrome, has additional paint details in robot mode, has articulated hands, and uses the Dark of the Moon version of the mold as the base ( Meaning that he has the updated abs and has the transformable gas tank guns ). Aesthetics are always subjective, so I'll just post some comparison photos and you can make up your own mind. Worlds collide when the Maximals and Predacons join the fight, coming together with the Autobots and Decepticons in an epic battle that will alter their destiny forever Armor Knight Optimus Prime is a retool of Age of Extinction: Generations Leader Class Optimus Prime. It features a new head sculpt with a rotatable faceplate (one side with the mask, the other without, the whole part rotates), along with other remolded body parts (such as his skirt, feet, and chest), giving it a more screen accurate appearance. He includes more movie-accurate weapons, featuring a new sword and shield, albeit in not-so-accurate colors (the sword's transparent orange blade was also a nod to the sword's "heat up" mode in the concept art.). He is covered in metallic paint, along with additional chrome details on his rims and bumper. For the remainder of 2007 following the movie's premiere, many fans complained of a severe toy shortage in most markets, particularly the U.S. Mainline figures had proven to be more difficult to locate at retail than in many years, if not ever. This was due to the convergence of several factors:

With the ancient and highly advanced F.O.S.S.I.L. (Fossilized Osteo-Skeletal Shield Integration Loadout) technology, Fossilizer bots, infused with primordial energy, break apart to weaponize their allies. Use Deluxe Fossilizer figures to beastify the Optimus Prime figure with bone armor! (Sold separately, subject to availability.) Unfortunately, due to issues of vehicle mode licensing and the fact that the robot designs are the shared intellectual property of Paramount, the movie series toys were not available to be redecoed in non-film-based lines, not even as convention exclusives. (This rule would later be relaxed slightly to allow "offscreen" character molds to be used, but that's not til the next movie-based line....) Orion Pax has seventeen points of articulation. This includes four on each arm and leg. The shoulders and hips are ball joints, giving him a good range of motion. His fists have 5mm ports in them, allowing him to hold the rifle included with the figure (either split up or as one weapon). The head sculpt features a round helmet section with a "U" shaped crest on top that has flat panels going over the top of the head. It also has thin rectangles on the parts of the helmet that flank the mouth area. Accessories: three faceplates, two cyber swords, chain, sword connector, two sword adaptors, four pairs of hands (two closed, two relaxed, two open, two weapon-holding) The Sword of Judgement included with this toy is the same mold as the weapon included with the Age of Extinction leader class Optimus, but cast in flat grey rubbery plastic rather than the transparent plastic and paint operations of the initial release. This Optimus Prime erroneously features blue paint on his feet instead of the screen-accurate red. Optimus comes with a "bonus value" Deluxe Class toy, Comettor. The pair together cost a dollar less than a regular Voyager Class toy. It was also available at Galeria Kaufhof department stores in Germany, with Comettor not highlighted as a "bonus" figure. Includes a Golden Disk card that reveals a possible destiny of a key character. Collect other Kingdom figures to reveal all 3 alternate destiny variants for each character! (Each sold separately. Subject to availability.)

It should be noted that this Optimus Prime can accommodate the Battle Blade accessories to recreate the scene of him fighting against Galvatron. Whether by coincidence or by design, his chest can open up along with a third panel (that includes a faux grill not seen in either mode for some reason) in a manner that replicates his Matrix chamber in the 1986 movie, though no Matrix of Leadership toys can fit inside without impeding his transformation. Battle Blades Optimus Prime is a brand new sculpt that attempts to replicate his Leader Class design. He is much more movie accurate than the previous Voyager incarnations. He features two energon swords made of soft plastic, similar to his Leader Class incarnation, albeit not spring-loaded. They can be detached from the mushroom joints they're on, although doing this excessively may cause them to warp. As a contrast to the more static faces of the Autobots, Steven Caple Jr. needed Primal's beast mode face to be more expressive. He had the graphics team split the face into myriad slivers so the mouth and eyebrows could move expressively, without subtracting the fact that he was supposed to be a robot in disguise. [7] Although the trailer is made exclusively for the cab with which it comes, it is scaled much more closely to and can be pulled by Optimus Prime's Revenge of the Fallen Leader class iteration.

This figure is mostly red plastic with smaller parts cast in silver and blue. For the most part the colors match up very well with the animation model. However the parts that were white on the animation model are silver here (including the thighs and elbow joints). I don't mind this as the silver works nicely with the red and blue colors. The chest windshield is cast in translucent blue. Released as part of the thirteenth wave of Studio Series Leader Class figures, Optimus Primal transforms into a mechanical gorilla in 34 steps. He comes with 2 scimitars, the Transwarp Key (which can split in two, just like in the movie), and also an axe, which is intentionally meant for Studio Series Rise of the Beasts Optimus Prime. He also comes with 2 chain pieces which, whilst he didn't use in the final movie, were seen briefly in the first teaser trailer. He also features jaw articulation in beast mode.

ICONIC MODES: The Fallen figure features classic conversion between robot and Cybertronian spacecraft modes in 17 steps. Perfect for fans looking for a more advanced converting figure. For kids and adults ages 8 and up TS-01 Trans Scanning Optimus Prime (an articulated "Protoform"-esque figure with snap-on vehicle mode parts) Some units feature a darker tone on the red paint applications. [9] The TakaraTomy version, part of the first wave of Movie Advanced Series toys, features numerous silver paint details, and alters the deco on his chest to be more screen-accurate, among many other changes. This figure's Vector Shield accessory is later redecoed as the "Golden Vector Shield", as the giveaway item for the 2nd The Last Knight Campaign in Japan.

Unlike both the Walmart exclusive Deluxe figure and the Japanese release, no weapon accessories are included. The first assortment was revealed on the June 23 2022 Fanstream. A second assortment of Deluxe Class toys was revealed in early October, without prior announcement. [5] Distribution of this second wave of product has been... let's politely call it varied. These toys were Kmart exclusives in New Zealand. Entertainment News International (ENI) is the #1 popular culture network for adult fans all around the world. The TakaraTomy version, part of the first wave of Movie Advanced Series toys, is dubbed "Classic Optimus Prime", and opts for a deco closer to Prime's previous on-screen appearances, omitting the blue paint on his feet and hands to reveal the gray plastic underneath, and adding new paint details all over. Instead of painting it in clear light blue, his light-piping eyes are neutered with opaque light blue paint.
