I had considered giving them a 10 out of 10. The reason for the 9 was that I felt the closing mechanism could be improved ever so slightly. I also thought that the placement of the charging port could be moved to the bottom to give the whole thing a cleaner look. Edifier X3 Review Accessible Audio Description The bass on the Edifier X3 gives a nice thump that can pulsate in your ears and delivers enough power to pump up the music. In pop, modern dance music and hip-hop, it's definitely possible to feel the bass slam. Yet, it doesn't force itself in front in music that doesn't ask for it. Whichever genre you're listening, there's an enjoyable bass amount - including sub-bass depths when asked for. Overall, QCY earplugs have a little more value as far as we're concerned. For example: QCY has its own app in which you determine which functionality the different buttons and touch controls have. My current day to day headphones are the AirPods and they take a fair bit of punishment throughout the day. The Edifier X3 TWS earbuds each have a 60mAh battery in them that gives about 4 hours 55 minutes of battery life on maximum volume. The charging case has a 500mAh battery that gives it an additional 15 hours of usage, which is pretty sweet considering the price tag of the X3 TWS earbuds. It can definitely last you the entire day.

If you’re looking for a pair of true wireless earbuds that sound great and are affordable, the Edifier X3 are a fantastic option. I am very impressed with the sound they deliver, and they come in a compact and portable form-factor. The charging case design is really straight forward and it’s hard not to notice that it’s actually quite lightweight. The only design feature to speak of on the case is a contrasting Edifier logo on the top of the case, which looks good. Each of the earbuds has been granted an IP55 waterproof rating. Which, basically means they’ll be absolutely fine if you get caught in the rain when you’re out on your daily run. But, things with an IP55 waterproof rating shouldn’t be submerged completely in water. The Earbuds look great inside the X3 Charging case What’s in the Edifier X3 Box? The bottom of the charging case is flat for easy stability and contains information including the product, model, charging information, battery capacity, and other information. Earphones Headphones deliver powerful bass, are more accurate to provide more detail, and excel in soothing genres like acoustic and classical. This is done via AAC HD audio codec to deliver the best stereo HIFI of all music styles in this price range. Noise Cancelation TechnologyUnfortunately, the Edifier X3 does not have the function of volume control using touch control or customizing the controls. If you’re really lazy to take out your phone to control the volume of your audio, you could summon your voice assistant to do it for you. Noise Cancellation One of the strengths of the Edifier X3 is the noise reduction technology, thanks to which the headphones are lightweight and have enough fit to provide high-quality passive noise isolation to give an immersive user experience.

The charging case has a 500mAh battery that will enable you to listen for a whopping 15 hours! There’s enough juice to last you a fair few days. And whilst we’re on the subject of battery life. The X3’s have a decent enough high-end which I really like, but I’d want to equalise them if the option was there. It isn’t quite enough for my tastes. But, they’re fine for most listeners and casual use. The box of the Edifier X3 is small. Very small. And that made us suspect that there would be no more than 250 mAh in the earbuds. But nothing is less true. Edifier has actually managed to put 350 mAh in the charging case . That is quite an achievement! It means that you can charge both earbuds 3.5 times from 0% to 100%. An excellent achievement!

User Experience

Considering its price, the sound quality on the Edifier X3 was actually pretty good. The earbuds are equipped with Qualcomm® aptX™ audio decoding technology and SBC codec support which are designed to improve Bluetooth sound quality.

The Edifier X3 TWS Earbuds are a great pair of no frills entry-level earbuds. But if there’s ever an X4 model coming, Edifier should include volume controls on the earbuds themselves. The only weak point in the build I could find was the lid! Make sure you don’t over extend the opening. It feels as if only a little force could damage the closure mechanism. The bud-style earbuds sit comfortably in the ears – we did not have to switch out the default ear tip size. But if you do have to, Edifier has kindly included two more sizes of rubber ear tips for you to find the perfect fit. The earbuds’ lightweight design also makes them incredibly pleasant to use for lengthy listening sessions.However, pairing the X3 is the same as any wireless earbuds, all you have to do is open the charging case and take out the earbuds and they will automatically turn on and enter the pairing state. To control Edifier X3 there is a high-precision touchpad on the top of the earphone handle which can achieve precise control with highly responsive touch sensitivity. The control consists of turning on / off the headphones, answering / keeping / rejecting a call, turning on / off the music, waking up the voice assistant, and other operations but does not have the function of customizing touch or increasing and reducing volume.
