No other time of year is as magical as the first few weeks of December when everything sparkles and the air smells like peppermint and roasting nuts. This was a very fast-paced book and I read it in roughly 24 hours. I was in the mood for a novel like this and this just really worked for me. I think the writing style was engaging and comedic, but there was also a very important and apparent moral behind the story. The characters were fun and well developed for such a short book, and the plot was intricate without being confusing.
