We’ve been out to emergency repairs where a customer’s boiler suddenly started turning on and off randomly. Sometimes software is the problem, rather than hardware. Try uninstalling and reinstalling your mobile app and see if that resolves the issue. As with most wireless electronics, your connection is vital. If you're noticing your SALUS wireless thermostat problems include a poor connection (or disconnecting regularly), then this is a good place to start. In this mode, user can set the schedules for thermostat (temperature setpoints for specific periods of time). Programmed schedules should use all time periods. You can try a reset, by following the instructions below to the letter, it is important that you do not miss any part. That means you’ll be able to program your heating specifically for each day of the week, rather than a traditional thermostat/timer that only allows one timed program for heating and hot water. During the pairing process, please make sure the thermostat and the receiver are at least 1 meter from each other. Optimum Start is a selectable function which, depending on the ambient room temperature, will start the boiler operation at the optimum time to achieve the set-point temperature. It saves energy by only firing the boiler for the minimum required time. READ NEXT: Common thermostatic shower problems and fixes. Common SALUS Wireless Thermostat Problems

Your SALUS device will have two lights on it - one red, and one green. These serve to indicate whether your devices are paired (connected) and if neither is on that's a sign of one of two things. First, the batteries may be dead - see the above section. Second, it's unpaired itself, which happens from time to time. Furthermore, the Salus RT 520 RF comes with a range of advanced features such as a frost protection mode to prevent freezing, holiday mode for extended absences, and a manual override function for temporary adjustments. These features provide added convenience and make it easy for users to ensure their home is always at a comfortable temperature. Hi. I have just had a Gloworm 30 CXI Ultracom 2 installed with a Salus RT500RF Wireless Programmable Thermostat to control temperature. All my radiators have TRVs and I have noticed that the Salus is not switching the boiler off or stopping flow to the rads when it should be. Eg at 10pm I am asking to it maintain a room temp of 10c, the Salus thermometer is reading the room temp circa 22c after the heating has been on, but the boiler is still in central heating mode and the rads hot all night. The most common SALUS wireless thermostat problems come from old batteries, poor connection, and the distance between the thermostat and receiver . Thanks for the responses. I have set all 5 cycles on the thermostat. TRV are on max setting in the living room where I keep the thermostat. At 10pm the thermostat will hit the 5th cycle and should tell the boiler to maintain a room temp of 5c. I am currently in the living room with the rads very hot to the touch and a reading of 22.5c so I would expect the boiler to switch off the CH mode and the heat to leave my rads. I am actually going to go and watch the boiler at 10pm to see what/ if anything happens. If my rads are still boiling hot at 11 then I know the Salus thermostat is bloody useless!!!The Salus RT500RF is a great wireless programmable room thermostat. If you really want a wireless thermostat and have a small budget, this is one of the best and cheapest wireless thermostats on the market. If a wireless thermostat is on the same radio frequency as yours (for instance, your neighbour), they’ll effectively, be controlling your heating system. And some cheap wireless thermostats don’t have an option to switch this frequency. MENU - enter the menu options, press and hold for 3 sec to return to main screen or to deactivate Boost Mode. TPI (Time Proportional & Integral) is a self-learning, timeproportional algorithm. TPI type of regulation ensures economical system operation through more accurate temperature maintenance during controlling process and limits overload conditions. In addition to the exact and stable room temperature, the advantage of this system is the minimization of energy consumption and significant savings. RT520 offers 3 types of TPI control: 1. for radiator (6CPH); 2. for underfloor heating (3CPH); 3. for electric heating (9CPH).
