I spent many years working at a College, lecturing and demonstrating Thermodynamics. Every time, just before the class came in, I was nervous, even after twenty five years I was. It is the same now…I see a car pull up, just one girl in it…it has to be her. I go to the counter, at the front of the Antiques Emporium to greet her. If children had been deeply traumatised by being caned at school, would it have been treated as the source of such great humour in the comic books being sold for their enjoyment? Personally I doubt it. It was, for most children, in most cases, just part of their everyday lives. Something you dealt with. That you normally deserved, but even when you didn’t – well, that happened sometimes.

But Dan’s nephews, Katie & Danny, his Aunt Aggie & everybody else dresses like the Scots’ working class of the 1930’s! Not only that, the teacher always had a strap for Danny & Katy & never a cane AND Catcus Gulch was the only Texas town I’ve seen with a regular Dundee Corporation tram service and Corporation lampposts!!! If children had been deeply traumatised by being caned at school, would it have been treated as the source of such great humour in the comic books being sold for their enjoyment? I hear nervous breathing. I have the hook baited, I know it is dangling tantalisingly in her mind. People say I have a nice, soothing, calm voice. The Dandy was a bit hit and miss re CP, but it did have Desperate Dan-not only a dead ringer facially for my Dad, but totally barmily surreal. The town where Dan lives, Catcus Gulch, ought to be somewhere in Texas given the way Dan dresses. I got the idea of a secret area from when I used to have stalls, at markets, a man I got to know, showed me how it works. Let me let you into a traders secret. The second strip is Teacher’s Pet. Patsy is a girl who wants to be really nice to Miss, her teacher. Too nice. She’s annoying. She overdoes things. They cause problems. Sometimes entirely her fault. Sometimes, not. Sometimes she pushes Miss too far. To say the least, Sir John's detailed account of the spanking scene reveals a very, very good memory indeed, in more ways than one. In my copy's version, Fiona Tonkin is dragged to her spanking by her skirt. Her expression of resignation to the spanking just prior to being placed over her stage Mother's knee is classic! It could be the carrying under the arm in other performances may explain why a guy in 'drag' was cast as the Mother? (Even I'd consider dressing in drag for that role, & that's really saying something!) Perhaps it would have been a bit much for an older female lead to carry the naughty little imp to her fate so a male was cast? Just spaculating. It is interesting later when Lise is contemplating her future as a Mother herself that she simulates her thoughts by pretending to spank an imaginary child. That may explain why the spanking was added to this ballet, that going from being the spanked to the spankee signifies the transition from being a girl to womanhood that this ballet portrays. Just some of my thoughts.

The stall holder sees you looking in the baited section, and turns. By now, you will be engrossed. “I have a lot more of….” Enter Rowena, today I am selling vintage magazines. All marked up, motor bikes, stamps, trains, special interest, action comics, D.C Comics, etc etc Sophie, the waitress, smiles and offers Rowena a cushion. “Thank you.” I say…” But no cushion is needed today.” I am currently involved in a family history project. The names, events and places only come to life when put into context – not so much the big events of history but the everyday. I am sure the same applies to understanding the social history of school CP. Comics were one small but important part of history and the context. They certainly helped normalise school CP for me and made it much less traumatic. Forgive me, Sir John. Please understand that, when it's so easy for someone to go on the internet and (in effect) write fiction, honest witnesses sometimes get suspected unjustly. I do in fact have some evidence which seems to support your account in general terms. (I hope everyone will understand why I'm going to keep it to myself for the time being.) But there are other things which don't quite seem to ring true.

Your suggestions

Apparently in the 50’s 60’s , 70′ etc Thompsons required that characters like Dennis and Beryl always ‘ got their just desserts’. Crime was not to be allowed to pay ! More interesting was the marketing of the magazines . Strangely it was not aimed at the ‘rough , tough boys ‘ of Bash street , but seen as a moral stabilizer actually intended to deter kids from what in Texas they call ‘ making bad choices’.The target readership, thus were those children for whom this escapism represented the safety valve, ‘what they WOULD so if only they DARE do ‘ Hence the reason for the required moral ending and just desserts for the culprits!

Now there’s stereotyping for you. I didn’t recognise it as such then, but stopped buying Hotspur when they had a quiz in which Agatha Christie’s Ten Little Indians was an answer in its’ original title. Just a couple of points you may be interested in. The recording I have of "The Australain Ballet" was live from the Victorian Arts Centre on 20th. June, 1989. However, the copy I have was released in 1994. Perhaps it was re-released in 2000 for your enjoyment? I get my manhood in my hand, and stroke as I listen. I hear the rustle of paper, the removal of some clothing, and little words….and then… She sends me a couple of photos of her, peering between her legs. I masturbate to orgasm as I listen to her doing the same. I bought a French version in which the spanking was omitted. Useful! Later I bought a copy complete with the Tonkin spanking from the "ABC Shop", where ABC = "Australian Broadcasting Commission". I still have it & may still be available. Perhaps in "Cinema Swats 6", Dan could string together a short series of LFMG & KMK spankings including professional & college productions?!

I offer her a spanking present, which will be a mystery gift. We discuss our next steps. She leaves, happy and excited. I can think of at least two other examples of a spanking scene shown on British television where the girl had her skirt deliberately raised to be spanked on her panties. They were both transmissions of the ballet La Fille Mal Gardée, where the heroine's pantomime dame mother (played by a man) puts her across 'her' knee, turns up her skirt and petticoats and, in some performances, gets a few slaps in before the punishment is interrupted. This was broadcast in 1962 with the original cast of Stanley Holden and Nadia Nerina, and another version with Ronald Emblen and Lesley Collier was shown in 1981; the latter is currently available in Britain on video and DVD. Of course, this was high culture rather than 7.30 lowbrow sitcom, but it does show that panties spankings were not completely unbroadcastable! Ooooh.’ She whispers to herself. I turn, “hello luv, I have a lot of those over here if you would like to browse.” I’m still deployed, but thankfully, it is proving to be pretty quiet. I’ve been working on my book in spare moments and making some progress.

Alexa Rank: 1,187,869 ( +4% over the last 3 months) The Alexa rank is a measure of classicspanking.com's popularity. And did the inevitable slippering Dennis got encourage me to behave? NO! I think the hiding-place for the catapult I took to school that I posted before on here tells you it only made me more devious!Roger’s Dad pretends, gets everything wrong & Roger gets a 12-stroke caning this time. I think Prof might have something there about the moral improvement undertone-cribbing was always a big sin at primary! In particular, I am 'wrapped' to know the spanking in "La Fille Mal Gardee" is a regular feature. Now we have ballet's answer to KMK to seek & enjoy! Excellent! Have you a guilty conscience?’ Have you a need? An itch that needs to be scratched?’ Would physical chastisement help?’ Domain Suffix: Commercial A domain suffix is the last part of a domain name and is often referred to as a "top-level domain" or TLD.
