For one tiny second, Luca was a bit more likable, but then he had to go and say the f slur. Please, all I'm asking is for my man Remo Falcone to come and do what he does best *cough kill him cough*. This book can be read as a standalone.** I really love that he doesn't like it easy. He likes challenges and he is relentless and never gives up. That makes him unique. He is like a champion as he should be 💪.And this is exactly why I loved this book so much. We're talking about true soulmates here! I loved, loved, loved these two together! Matteo was so patient with Gianna and he had such a great sense of humour. I like men like Matteo, so funny and easygoing (apart from the killing of course). He was as different from Luca as Aria is from Gianna and this is another reason this book worked for me. I loved Luca so much, but I didn't want his brother to be like him.

Gianna is an untamed young woman... She despised the world that she was force to be raised and she wants to escape from this kind of life... She long to be free from everything that she knows... From the first moment, she is drown to Matteo but she's never going to admit it!!! It was her duty to fight the marriage also to hold for syd? Seriously? Her stubborn side? Laughable… are there really women even close to this thinking? I dunno. You would think that after reading a million Harlequins i would not be so critical, but I am.Also another reason I can't rate this higher, the writing. It really doesn't improve. I am growing increasingly aggravated with the repeated sentences, wrong tenses, and awkward word choices that just look wrong in the sentence. I didn't find the writing to be very polished.
