It's almost like decades of not substantially pushing the formula for the franchise forward have left the dev team ill-equipped to deliver a fresh take on the game. Never would have seen that coming. The Joy-Con controllers, which match the main colours of Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet, feature the school emblems of the Naranja Academy and Uva Academy that appear in the respective games.

Been playing since the first generation, skipped the sixth only because I joined the 3DS party late, and stopped after a disappointing eighth. Even with my lowered expectations I'm still disappointed with this generation. Oh, how the franchise has fallen. The only explanation I can think of, is that their game engine simply isn’t made for Open World design, without the required optimizations to make it perform well.My daughter loves this set. It's beautifully done, colour coordinated everything. Very important it does not take so much space, it is not small in size and not so big. The connection to the TV also worked super fast. We have nothing but joy with it so far. Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Northern Ireland and the Scottish Highlands) may take longer to reach you. I prefer the Splatoon one, the joy cons especially look great. I've been meaning to by an OLED but at this point I think I'm going to wait to see if there will be a Zelda one when BotW2 releases and get that. Even Pokemon Sword and Shield, which is one of the worst games I've played on the Switch, managed to get an 8/10 here so not sure this score bodes too well. I was never very optimistic about this one from the start though and even less so since the leaks dropped. I'm still going to give it a go for myself though but only because I found a cheap copy so I'll be able to resell it afterwards for profit if I can be bothered anyway. Wow, this is disappointing. I was really hoping this would score a lot better. Even so, I’ll probably end up being obsessed with it after I get my hands on it.

It's quite odd seeing as the games started off always being more functional visually than anything and never aimed to push the hardware and now they push the hardware a bit too much at the same time as not looking spectacular. Saying that I am still getting a copy because I'll still get enjoyment out of coming across the new Pokemon for the first time. The games just came out so I won't be spoiled with anything until tomorrow. The only thing I will say is, I can wait any time until Generation X arrives, so please Game Freak, focus mainly on this game for the next years! It's the same on the Switch, there are plenty of high demanding games on the Switch today that have been properly coded and optimized for the system, who both look and perform much better than any of Game freak's games. The flagship of the new Nintendo console is, without a doubt, the 7 ”OLED screen. Significantly brighter than older LCDs, it ensures vibrant colours and impressive contrasts. Crisp and fluid, the display reaches a maximum resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, but it is unfortunately not anti-glare and may show some gaps when playing outside. The sound also takes a step forward compared to the previous model thanks to larger and more powerful speakers. New Developments Under the Body
