Select this and if you have an active connection to your smart toothbrush, you should see a menu on the screen called ‘Handle’. If you don’t, connect your brush or switch your brush on. It is only visible when there is an active connection with the brush handle. For hygienic reasons, use individual brush handles and brush heads for each family member. For cleaning, switch off the handle and remove the brush head. Rinse both parts separately with water and wipe them dry before reassembling. This does have to be done via the Oral-B smartphone application and cannot be done via the toothbrush itself. According to you, you are not able, to feel a difference in strength, if you compare the “Daily Clean” function! The Cross Action, FlossAction, TriZone or Precision Clean brush heads are most suitable for this cleaning mode.

The «2-Minute» timer signals with four beeps and a Smiley on the SmartGuide that the dentist recommended 2-minute brushing time has been reached. For the vast majority of us, a single cleaning mode, the standard Daily Clean mode is perfectly sufficient.

Electric Toothbrush Storage and Maintenance

Like the 2 minute timer, this causes a change in the brushing sensation and the sound of the brush and is the alert you need to change from one quadrant to another. Your toothbrush comes with the «Professional» and «Count up» timer activated. To change this, press and hold the brushing mode button for 3 seconds until the SmartGuide shows «:30» and «timer». Briefly press the on/off button to switch to the «2-Minute» timer. Push the mode button to confirm. The SmartGuide now shows «up» and «timer». If you have a SmartGuide™ display with your electric toothbrush, it will need two AA batteries for power. In addition to the tips above, you should rinse your electric toothbrush every day with tap water after use to remove toothpaste and debris. You should be aware though, that different cleaning modes use a different number of movements. This means, that you could have the technically most powerful brush, but if you use the sensitive brushing mode, you will not be using the full power of the toothbrush. Keeping a regular brushing routine is more useful than having a powerful brush. However, the theory is, the more movements of each, the better the brush can clean the teeth. If you have used Oral-B before, you might be able to tell the difference. If not, then it is likely going to feel quite powerful and a big step up from a manual brush.
