Of course! I’ve frozen it for up to 2-3 months no problem. Ideally, slice up the cake first before freezing. Then, you can easily defrost a few slices at a time instead of the entire thing. You’ll see xanthan gum in a lot of my recipes as it’s an essential ingredient in gluten-free baking – in cakes and biscuits, it helps to replace gluten by binding the texture together. If you’re in a bit of a pinch and don’t have a swiss roll tin, you can easily use a baking tray instead as long as it’s roughly the same size and sides aren’t too low.

Icing sugar for dusting (I didn't use this in the photos, but you can sift some on at the end for a 'snowy' effect)Whilst your sponge cools, make your icing for the inside and out. Place your butter in a stand mixer (or electric hand whisk if you don't have a stand mixer), mix on its own on a high speed for about 5 minutes. The butter should change from a more yellow colour to being a lot more pale. Once you’ve nailed this recipe, you can use it to make Swiss rolls and change up the flavour combos however you like. If you want to defrost the whole thing at once, you can leave it at room temperature to thaw for around 12 hours. A single slice will probably take about 2-3 hours to thaw, so get it out ahead of time! Can I bake my gluten-free chocolate orange Toblerone tart in the oven?

When you want to eat it, each slice should take around 3 hours to defrost at room temperature. How can I tell when my gluten-free chocolate orange swiss roll is done?

Once cooled, store in an air-tight container in the fridge for up to 3-5 days. I say the fridge because there’s cream in the filling after all! Chocolate Orange Toblerone (optional): Yes, they’re gluten-free in the UK so celebrate that fact by baking this!

Icing sugar: Icing sugar is perfect for the the icing as it vanishes into the mix whilst adding a sweet flavour. Plus you can optionally dust a little on top at the end so it looks ‘snowy’.

Toblerone Orange Twist is made of milk chocolate with honey, almond, nougat & gingery candied orange peel. Firstly, the ‘pastry case’ is actually a biscuit base, adding a lovely crumbly, buttery texture. You wouldn’t believe how well it holds the filling when chilled either.

However, don’t even think about using an electric mixer to fold the fluffy egg whites into the main mixture – this must be done by hand! Can I make your gluten-free chocolate orange swiss roll recipe by hand? You MUST roll up the sponge whilst it’s still warm. If you allow it to cool, it’s game over. It will 100% break when you try to roll it up.Gluten-free chocolate orange Toblerone tart recipe - no-bake and super easy to make using just 6-ingredients. Wheat-free and Coeliac-friendly. In case you didn’t already know, the all-in-one method involves bunging all your sponge ingredients into a bowl at once and mixing them together. That’s instead of adding them gradually. Cadbury Chocolate Orange Buttons: Yes, these are gluten-free! You can find them down the confectionary aisle. Then, the filling is a wonderful, creamy mixture, sweet with that unmistakable taste of chocolate orange Toblerone – after all, it’s melted into it!
