Ideal for display, collectible LEGO® Architecture models of iconic landmarks and city skylines offer a variety of rewarding building experiences for anyone interested in architecture, travel, history and design.

Tile (part 2555) in 194 Medium Stone Grey Light Bluish Gray, with White Crosswalk Pattern (element 6286223). This buildable skyline measures over 11” (28cm) high, 10” (27cm) wide and 3” (10cm) deep – you don’t need a lot of space to display it, but its vibrant colors and authentic details will catch the eye of every passerby! This collectible construction set features buildable models of the Tokyo Tower, Mode Gakuen Cocoon Tower, Tokyo Big Sight, TOKYO SKYTREE, Chidorigafuchi Park, Shibuya Crossing and more to evoke nostalgic memories. Thinking of buying this unique Tokyo gift for someone new to LEGO® building kits? No problem. It comes with easy-to-follow, printed building instructions. Open the box and away they go! Tile (part 3069) in 199 Dark Stone Grey Dark Bluish Gray, with Map With Blue Circles Pattern (element 6226606). The most striking aspect of the part selection is the sheer number of printed parts. This includes four new printed elements, and five existing printed parts. A total of 19 printed parts would be a lot for any set, and is much more than we’ve ever seen in the LEGO Architecture series.

A much smaller part of the model that adds a splash of colour are the cherry blossom trees which use stem pieces and pink LEGO flowers very effectively, with the scale of the buildings giving the trees context. Next to the blossoms is a small part of Chidorigafuchi Park moat, recreated with 1×2 trans-blue tiles, which gets its name from being shaped like a plover-bird called chidori in Japanese. On the positive side, I also noticed a lot of intriguing printed parts featured this set (especially for the Mode Gakuen Cocoon Tower), which I look forward to discovering in more detail as we get into the review. Lastly, I was pleased to see some advanced building techniques, especially for the Tokyo Big Sight exhibition center. Build process Two small attractions ( Merlin and Kingdom Quest Laser): slow with soft actions and low interactivity to accommodate younger visitors. Recreate some of Tokyo’s most famous buildings with this detailed LEGO® Architecture Skyline Collection 21051 desk toy. It’s a great souvenir for Tokyo visitors and an ideal gift for adults who live or have lived in Japan’s capital city or who dream of visiting. Even LEGO newcomers can zone out from busy lives and enjoy this relaxing building experience.Iconic buildingsThis toy construction set includes scale models of TOKYO SKYTREE, the world’s tallest freestanding tower, Tokyo Tower, Mode Gakuen Cocoon Tower and Tokyo Big Sight. The cherry-tree-filled Chidorigafuchi Park, a classic pagoda tower and Shibuya Crossing are also featured. Together on the baseplate with a ‘Tokyo’ nameplate, they create a compact, impactful display piece.Introducing LEGO Architecture…LEGO Architecture sets capture the essence of the world’s best-known buildings, monuments and cities. From iconic landmarks to city skyline models, there’s something for anyone interested in architecture, travel, history and design.Neither the trees nor the small building are interesting to assemble, but the cherry blossom trees in particular add a lovely ambience and cheerful personality to the completed model. Shibuya Crossing While there are no new parts in this set, there are a few parts appearing in new colors for the first time. Tokyo’s Lego park (as well as the one in Osaka) is actually only a "Discovery Center": it offers indoor attractions, at a reduced size. Do not expect a full-fledged attraction park. Tokyo Legoland Discovery Center opened in Odaiba on 15 June 2012, and features several themed spaces mainly aimed at children. Legoland Discovery Center is however a quite noisy place for adults: a lot of children running around and screaming chased by overwhelmed families or staff using megaphones to call for a quieter use of the place(!) This buildable skyline measures over 11” (28cm) high, 10” (27cm) wide and 3” (10cm) deep – you don’t need a lot of space to display it, but its vibrant colours and authentic details will catch the eye of every passerby!

Statue of Liberty’s presence in this list also indicates it’s a stronger performer than 21046 Empire State Building, which may or may not have something to do with all that lovely sand green. (Or, you know, just because it’s a more iconic international landmark than a big tan skyscraper.) Tile (part 2555) in 182 Transparent Bright Orange Trans-Orange , with Yellow Rectangle and Triangle Cut-out (element 6255958). Build this striking LEGO® Architecture Tokyo skyline souvenir for adults, featuring authentically detailed models of iconic buildings and landmarks, and display your passion for this vibrant city.• This collectible construction set features buildable models of the Tokyo Tower, Mode Gakuen Cocoon Tower, Tokyo Big Sight, TOKYO SKYTREE, Chidorigafuchi Park, Shibuya Crossing and more to evoke nostalgic memories.Master Builder Academy: short Lego construction workshops provided by Lego staff (only in Japanese), Finally, 21037 LEGO House – a 2017 set that’s exclusively available at its namesake in Billund – is apparently due to stay in production until at least the end of 2026, suggesting the LEGO Group has no plans to update what’s arguably already a perfect rendition of its interactive attraction.
