Description

This stand is a universal fit but if your bike has a curved swing arm, you will require bobbins before you can use thisstand. Thankfully, this sturdy dolly stand from Oxford has a few neat features to alleviate that issue. Firstly, the arms that cradle the fork legs have rubber pads to prevent scratching, providing an opportunity to get them settled first without risking damage to paintwork. They're spring-loaded, too, locating the pads positively under the fork ends so they don't slip out. We see no reason why this wouldn't fit your motorcycle as the plates can be adjusted to the desiredwidth.

This stand will lift your bike with no issues. You will not need bobbins as the stand uses a cup/padfitment.

TESTED TO THE EXTREMES

Unfortunately as this is a universal product we are not able to advise on specific fitments, apologies. Oxford list the the stand as suitable for swing arms with overall widths of260-355mm.

We can confirm that this is a universal stand which will fit your motorcycle. You will not need to install bobbins as this has a cup/padfitment. I bought this in preference to buying the very much more expensive, OE Manufacturer, Centre Main stand for my specific bike and it works perfectly for the task I bought it for. I've given a 5* rating as for the modest price, it works properly and completely fulfilled my expectations. Constructed from durable steel, with heavy duty fasteners and a base with large wheels for increased stability this a dream piece of workshop equipment. The cups/pads should lift your bike ok, but should you wish to fit bobbins, the necessary hooks are included with thestand.Front stands work in a number of ways. Either they have pins which locate under the fork legs or they have rotating cups which can locate either under the forks or, if you have radial brakes, you can fit them under the radial assembly on the fork leg itself. With all this information, it can be difficult making a decision, especially when you have to make the correct choice for your bike. The stand is made down to a budget but is perfectly strong enough for light home use. The tubing is adequate for the task and the welding is such that it is properly welded and sturdy. Trust me when I say that you could not manufacture this stand in a home workshop fr the price they are selling it for! The bolt together joints are well formed and the clamping action of the bolt-through fittings are perfectly capable of holding the stand together firmly. The parts are easy to assemble and the instructions are simple to read and understand. The rear swing arm pads are wide and their soft face pads will not damage the bike while lifting it. The stand itself is wide enough to support the bike safely on a flat surface. The action of lifting the bike, (My Aprilia Tuareg 660.) was pretty easy, even at my advanced age! If I have any comment to make, it would be to suggest a couple of M6 x 60 bolts and a couple of plastic/alloy bobbins be added to the kit to safely locate the swinging arm pads against the swinging arm to prevent any slipping while lifting. RiDE Magazine rated the Zero-G BEST BUY in their market review. They praised the clear instructions, finish and large wheels and declared it was the easiest stand to lift a bike with on the test. The Triumph Tiger 800 XC usually takes M8 size bobbins, but we are unable to advice on the pitch of the thread, apologies.

Unfortunately this stand is not suitable for your Triumph, as the exhausts are in the way. It will work if you remove thesilencers.

ENGINEERED TO TAKE THE WEIGHT OFF

This stand is universal fit, however we can see no reason why this stand is not suitable for yourHonda. Hi there, is this stand suitable for a 2018 Kawasaki Z1000SX with Kawasaki bobbins? KindRegards. March 26, 2019 This stand is a universal fit,but is supplied with bobbin hooks and so should be fine for yourKawasaki. If you want a stand to last you a lifetime, you should go for a single-piece stand that locates with bobbins, then when you switch bike you can just switch the bobbins over. Or you could go for a stand that locates in the frame or swingarm pivot, like an abba stand. A compact frame construction makes them very rigid and very stable. At the same time, an elongated handle provides excellent leverage, so lifting your bike requires minimum effort.

Will this fit a 2005 Triumph speed triple 1050. I wasn't sure if it was adjustable for width.Cheers October 6, 2018 They can also be very useful for general maintenance; if your bike doesn’t have a centre stand but does use a chain, then cleaning and lubricating the chain is far easier if the rear wheel is off the ground, as is adjusting the chain tension. The best at a glance Easy-to-use stands that make lifting a bike effortless with touches to ensure once in the air, your pride and joy is held there safely." - RiDE Magazine Best BuyHello. What is the maximum width available between the L-shaped rubber holders (inside to inside of course)? In cm if possible! Thanksyou. November 6, 2017 First and foremost, bikes like being stored upright. There are several models that specifically don’t like being stored for any length of time on just the side stand – the oil drains to one side and exposes the engine’s internals to air and moisture, with potential corrosion issues.
