It is possible to talk to all or just one person with the new Walkie-Talkie app. You can use this feature to answer a family member’s call without disturbing the other members of your family. This book has the honour of being my most read book (four times). Yes, it has dated slightly but is still a very funny book, and delightfully written. As soon as I read the open description about Minehead I had confidence that Mr Wallington was going to capture the spirit of South West England, and he didn't disappoint.

This is one volume of two books - 500 mile walkies and Boogie up the River. I originally wanted to read the first but stayed on for the second one. A walk of mostly lanes, B-roads, and drizzle. One of the most exciting parts was a Museum of Banking. Which was closed.

Textbooks may not include supplemental items i.e. CDs, access codes etc. The Motorola MH230R provides clear communication even on very hilly terrains and up to 23 miles. While that distance will vary as it does with all walkie-talkies, the MH230R holds up its end of the bargain far better than most – you don’t need to be on the Bonneville Salt Flats on a clear day to achieve long-range effective communication with this one. But this two-way radio performs well in short-range situations too, like crowded malls and amusement parks. The eight-hour battery life is great for a full day out or a regular workday but it’s not ideal for huge outings. This is an omnibus edition of two books. '500 Mile Walkies' tells of how the author decided to walk from Minehead to Poole, following the coast line through Devon, Cornwell and Dorset. He has no other motives than to impress a girl, but decides he does need a travelling companion. Along comes Boogie, his mate's dog, who is used to London, is 100% Mongrol and prefers concrete to grass. They aren't really the camping type, so the book is a a list of one misadventure after another...from a tent that refuses to stay up to getting lost on the army shooting range.

Circumnavigating the Bowness peninsular. I pass the huge antennas at Anthorn Radio Station in a state of awe and fascination that only a nerdy electronics engineer can conjure up.In short, a man and his dog walk England’s southwest coast path. It’s actually 630 miles long. The path goes along Devon and Cornwall's rugged north coasts and their less rugged south coasts as well as Dorset’s chalk cliffs. The account is light hearted but enjoyable. An account likely to be more emotive if that is what you seek, but which I haven’t yet read, is ‘The Salt Path’, about a couple made homeless and with the husband suffering from cancer, who choose to walk it to try and get the most out of life.
