These beauties were born from all of the experimentation. One thing I will say though… they are different to my other blondies such as my white chocolate & raspberry blondies, and my white chocolate & pistachio blondies. This isn’t because I dislike my other blondies, I love them, I just found this mixture works much better with the caramel because otherwise it’ll just vanish to the bottom.

The brownies are cooked when a crust frame appears round the entire circumference of the brownie - the top will need to have a crust and be hard to the touch, but spongey underneath. Hazelnut doesn't really appear in the initial aroma though. It's a typical Cadbury chocolate aroma of sweet, buttery, lactic, notes. There's ripples of the surface of the bar but the finish is fairly matt.

Cadbury Wispa Ice Cream Bars: chocolate ice cream bar with Wispa pieces, covered in milk chocolate. Launched 2009 but discontinued 2013. Milk, sugar, glucose syrup, cocoa butter, cocoa mass, vegetable fats (palm, shea), glucose-fructose syrup, whey powder, emulsifiers (E442, E471), flavourings, salt, sodium carbonates. Milk solids: 14% minimum (milk chocolate). Cadbury Wispa Gold Salted Caramel: an aerated milk chocolate bar with a salted caramel layer. Limited edition launched in 2022.

For best resuilts, do not cut the brownies until completely cool. The wispa bars will begin to melt from the residual brownie heat. These will need a good few hours to fully harden again, possibly overnight. Feel free to cut the brownies after 4 hours, just remember the chocolate toppings will still be totally soft.Although I only just reported this item as coming out in the Foodie News Burst, I happen to find the product first hand in Asda today! Wispa Gold is one of my favourite chocolate bars, and I have enjoyed the regular Wispa hot chocolate so the promise of a Wispa Gold hot chocolate really got my hopes up!
