Flavored with peaches, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg, this tastes just like peach pie in a glass. All carbs - except for 1/10 gram per serving - come from sugar alcohols, therefore the net carbs are >1 gram per serving. That said, this recipe is easily scaled up. Double it, make a 3x batch - whatever suits your needs! Pete, At a minimum allow the peaches to steep for a month before straining the solids from the jars and then another month to allow the smaller solids to separate. I will be posting new pics of the bottle liqueur in a week or two. The ingredient portions are suggestions. You can adjust the amount of peaches, the amount of sugar, and the amount of liquor added.

Hands down, the most popular peach schnapps drink is the Fuzzy Navel! This classic combination of schnapps and orange juice was invented in the 1980’s as a marketing ploy for DeKuyper. Fuzzy refers to peach fuzz, and navel refers to orange. The drink was inspired by the classic orange juice and vodka combination in the Screwdriver, and remains popular to this day. You can use vodka or agricole rhum, as we did both recipes. We preferred the rhum, as it was slightly sweeter, but richer in flavor. The vodka really brings out the peach flavor, so if that is what you are wanting, either choice is a good one. If you look at peach liqueur vs peach schnapps, they are two different products. Peach schnapps are an alcoholic beverage made from distilled peaches. Peach brandy is made from fermented peaches that have been aged in oak barrels. Schnapps can come in a variety of flavors like apple, cinnamon, peppermint, and butterscotch. Both yellow or white peaches work well for this recipe. You can use frozen peaches, but make sure to defrost them first before starting the recipe. Simply cut the peaches and add the peach slices to at least a quart jar like a mason jar. Top it with your alcohol of choice, a grain alcohol, agricole rhum, white rum or vodka. We have an amount of alcohol for you , but just make sure the liquor covers the amount of peaches in the jar. Peach flavour - Lorann’s Peach flavour oil isn’t the *exact* same peach flavour profile as some of the commercial peach schnapps brands, but it’s pretty close - especially if you’re not comparing side by side.Sweetener– instead of granulated sugar, feel free to use your sweetener of choice.
