Turbo Setting– This pro model has been given a turbo setting. Users may use the standard power setting or switch on the turbo setting for faster-cutting speed.

Handle/Body– The whole unit ‘that’s much bigger than standard hair clippers’ is the body that is held at the sides by a user while trimming hair. Washable– The Remington HC4300 can be cleaned using the cleaning brush provided, and there is a cleaning port that a user may run water through to clean it thoroughly.

Moving onto the combs, the fact that the largest comb is some measly 5/8″ (15mm) is a bit disappointing. While the Shortcut Pro improves on SCC-100’s shortest attachment (1/8″ -> 1/16″), 5/8″ is still rather limiting. And while yes, the price tag is very different here, it’s also less pro and powerful than similarly priced Wahls or Andis too.

The nine fixed-length combs offer a good range of cutting lengths for grading without feeling overwhelming. We found they are virtually perfect for blending while allowing you to create a wide range of styles. A peculiar thing about the Remington HC4300 is an American company produces it, but at the moment, it seems to be only on sale in the UK, Europe, and Australia and not in the USA. However, this might change very soon and it may become available in the US.Blades– The stainless steel blades are much wider than the blades on standard hair clippers and curve. These blades can be released and taken off for cleaning if needed.

The SCC-100 had a dial-like area where you would lower or raise the blade a bit, tinkering with its closeness to the scalp. There’s no such thing with the new Remington clippers. Combs– The HC4300 comes with 12 detachable combs for hair cutting at various lengths (1.5 – 25mm). Each comb has the size marked in inches and millimeters and grades (grade 0 – 8). These combs are easily clipped on and off the hair clipper. Cordless/Corded– These clippers may be used with their cord or cordless. Not to be used corded near water for obvious safety reasons. Just keep in mind that this is for simple buzz cuts that you do regularly. If you are trying to do a regular haircut that you leave long on top, then I would recommend other clippers like the Wahl lineup of quality clippers to use at home.
