There you go, zero effort for a baby item you can use while breastfeeding and also with any future babies. Breastfeeding is a unique experience for every mum, yet it can also be quite challenging, especially during those early days. Mum and baby are learning, trying to understand how to latch baby on to the breast properly, nipples are sore, and nipple fissures can appear. I had heard of the benefits of Silver healing cups when I was pregnant with my twins from other moms of twins so decided I had to give them a go, and I'm so grateful I did. I used them since the day my twins were born, they're now 5 weeks, and I haven't had a moment of pain which is a far cry from when I had my daughter 7 years ago and sadly didn't know of Silver healing cups then. Highly recommend them to any breastfeeding/pregnant and hoping to breastfeed mom's, you won't regret it.'Candice, Feb 2022

Prevent & soothe nursing nipples using 925 silver

You don't need to use nipple creams or ointments alongside Pippeta Nip Cups. Instead, Pippeta recommend using only breast milk, as other creams or ointments may react with the silver and reduce the cups' efficiency. Cleaning and Maintenance Silverette are a Class I Medical Device – Regulation 745/2017. The silver cups are in accordance with the law (5.02.1934) related to the double hallmark on silver products. Before first use, mix a small amount of water with bicarbonate of soda (you can find it in the baking aisle at your supermarket) to make a paste, and apply it inside the cups. You can clean like this between every use but you can also just use a clean, damp cloth to remove milk residue between each use and then do a clean once a day with the bicarbonate mix. sterling silver provides the necessary protection to nipples without releasing harmful substances and in a few days allows you to return to normal and enjoy a beautiful and unforgettable moment as breastfeeding should be. You should know that the duration of healing may vary depending on the current status of nursing nipples. While recent soreness may clear in a matter of days, profound wounds may take up to two or three weeks for your breastfeeding nipples to feel entirely healed with the frequent use of Supa Chérie Original Silver Nursing Cups between breastfeeding sessions every day. Most nipple pain should improve, and healing should take its place in seven to ten days. You and your sweet baby will soon be able to enjoy breastfeeding.

Silverette® are the original silver nursing cups designed to soothe and protect nipples during the pregnancy and breastfeeding journey. Silver – a naturally antimicrobial, antifungal, and antibacterial metal – contains potent anti-inflammatory properties that can be used to soothe and prevent soreness and pain during the breastfeeding journey. Let's start at the beginning. Before using them for the first time, wash in lukewarm water and mild soap, drying thoroughly with a clean cloth. As they are made of pure silver, care must be taken to dry them well to prevent oxidisation! You can chose between the Regular or XL size depending on what works better for you (there isn't much of a difference though so don't worry too much) : Regular: Width 4.5cm / Height 1.6cm - Best suited to bra size C cup or less or an areola dimension less than 4.5cm On foot, please stay left behind the yellow lines on the pedestrian walkway and don't cross the working forklift yard. To learn more about why 999 carat pure silver is better than 925 carat, read Why Should You Choose 999 Carat Pure Silver over 925 Carat?

For each and every use, just prepare a cream of water and bicarbonate and distribute it on the surface of the nipple cups; rinse them thoroughly and dry them. The cups is recommended to be worn continuously until breastfeeding is established without any pain or damage.

Silver nipple shields: how do nipple shields work?

Step 2: Before breastfeeding, remove the cups and clean the nipples with warm water or a water wipe. Once feeding has completed, rinse the cups with warm water, pat dry and repeat step 1 in-between feeds. Place the shields on your nipples, making sure they fit snugly, and put on your bra. Don't worry about them moving around: their anatomical design, together with your bra itself, will keep them in place.

From December 2013 to September 2014, we recruited 40 women for symptomatic nipple fissures during lactation. Participants were randomized into two groups: the Silver Cap group (20 women; group A) or the control group (20 women; Group B, standard of breastfeeding care). All participants received breastfeeding education provided by a board-certified lactation consultant. Group A was instructed to use the Silver Cap. Group B had a handbook with the standard of care for nipple treatment after each breastfeeding. Both groups received a questionnaire for a daily assessment. The duration of both treatments was 15 days. We performed a clinical evaluation on Days 0 and 2 and a follow-up by telephone on Day 7, and all participants underwent final evaluation face to face on Day 15. We performed photographic recording of the nipple on Day 0 and Day 15. Silver can sometimes tarnish and become yellower over time but this will not affect its ability to heal. After your breastfeeding session, leave a couple of milk drops in each cup and apply them directly to the nipple like cupping glass. Remove cups and rise accurately the nipples with water before breastfeeding. Do not use any other nipple treatment in conjunction with Silverette ®: this could reduce or even compromise the efficacy of the product. Silverette's 925 silver has anti-inflammatory and antibiotic agent and can be used simultaneously with treatments that supports the recovery of mastitis. If you have any concerns regarding mastitis, please consult your medical practitioner.
