Description

Institutions such as constitutions, laws, and elections play a crucial role in ensuring a government’s legitimacy. Elections provide citizens with an opportunity to hold the government accountable by voting out leaders who fail to meet citizens’ expectations. Constitutions and laws, on the other hand, provide a framework of rules that the government must follow. The social contract is a bilateral agreement Speed Dating in the Twenty-First Century, or a List of Things You Should Know About Me That Require a Level of Urgency

According to Social Contract Theory, the government should act as a neutral arbitrator, responsible for upholding individual rights and ensuring the welfare of society as a whole. This government should not prioritise any particular group, and it should operate in a transparent manner. Instead, the government must create a fair and impartial legal system, promoting equal opportunities and ensuring that everyone is subject to the same laws. The concept of the common good implies that the government should prioritize the overall well-being of its citizens rather than promoting the vested interests of select groups. The government must provide essential services like healthcare, education, and infrastructure that contribute to citizens’ quality of life. Additionally, the government must implement policies that benefit society as a whole rather than just catering to specific groups. Inspiration: Based on the sneak peek in Choices Insiders August 2021, players theorize this book will pay homage to Fifty Shades of Grey. PB confirmed this in a blogpost on November 22, 2021.Just over a year ago I figured out the general theme of the collection I’m working on right now. It began, broadly, as “performance” and has since developed into a funky little manuscript that masquerades as a play, with characters and props and little spurts of dialogue written accordingly. It’s different from The Surrender Theory in a lot of ways. Mostly because I’ve become a better writer in the last six years. I love the poems in my first collection fiercely, but I wrote them a long time ago. If they were a person, they’d be in school by now. They’d be able to have conversations with me—and they do. This view suggests that the government’s authority and power are derived from the people rather than coming from a divine source or a single ruler. By entering into a social contract, citizens establish the framework of government power and authority. The agreement between the government and its citizens is a fundamental aspect of the legitimacy of a government. The title - and very first - poem, which is the one I had read and loved before I read the collection, stands out head and shoulders above the rest. A few others that I really enjoyed include 'Pareidolia', 'Nesting Doll' and 'After', and while I understand that grief does different things to us all, most of the poems about it were my least favourite of the bunch.

I’m struggling right now with making time for my poetry. I’m working a full-time job that I cannot afford to take significant time off of. I get home from my day-long shift and ideally need to lay down, wordless, for at least an hour to recharge after being social all day. Usually I’m so tired that the most poetry-adjacent task I can do is work on my book journal, or handwrite a few Patreon postcards. Mostly, my poetry work is pushed to weekends or to the Wednesday night work hour(s) I do via Zoom with my best friends. The process has been so much slower this time around, and I can’t help but fear becoming irrelevant in the process. VIP release date: It is believed this book will be released on November 26 to take the place of The Unexpected Heiress, making it a Friday book. Otherwise, it will be released on November 24 to take the place of The Royal Finale, making it another Wednesday book. The theory is confirmed on November 19, as PB revealed the book will be released to VIP players on November 26. Her debut poetry collection, “The Surrender Theory,” was released in 2022 with Central Avenue Publishing. CAITLIN CONLON [she/her] is a poet and avid reader based out of Upstate New York. She is a graduate of the University at Buffalo, where she received a BA in English and a Creative Writing Certificate. While there, she was the recipient of the "Friends of the University Libraries Undergraduate Poetry Prize" and the "Arthur Axlerod Memorial Prize" for Poetry. Caitlin has previously been published via Olney Magazine, Anti-Heroin Chic, and Rust + Moth, among others. She enjoys plants, astrology, the color yellow, libraries, & the sound of violins. You can find her nearly anywhere at @cgcpoems. I’m watching Shrinking, as part of my plan to work through the Jason Segel cinematic universe. I’m really enjoying it so far.

The government’s obligation to work for the common good is based on the idea that the purpose of government is to serve the needs of its citizens. The government must establish policies that promote equality and social justice, ensuring that every citizen has access to basic human rights and necessities. Natalia as an antagonist: With there being several Choices stories where the main love interest's ex is an antagonist, and this series being based on Fifty Shades of Grey (in which the love interest's ex sub is an antagonist), many players believe that Natalia (Attorney's ex sub) will reveal herself to be an antagonist. This is confirmed in Book 2, Chapter 15, when we find out that Natalia set MC up.
