I have had the same favorite book of all time for years, until now, Confess is now my favorite book of all time. I mean come on, she may do a fantastic job of weaving her words in such a way that the relationship really does seem to build up naturally– it worked on me with Slammed, but I'm afraid this time round, she simply couldn't work her magic.

Whereas, It Starts With Us reads like every other second-chance romance between two past lovers that shared a connection in their childhood. Tate thinks Miles is opening up emotionally, but just when they’re on the verge of a breakthrough, he closes down again. It took me days longer to read this than I anticipated because I didn't feel any pull to keep going. In short, ‘It Starts With Us’ is nothing but an extended epilogue that could’ve been a bonus chapter. The more we kiss, the more we realize what we’re losing…He pulls back and looks me in the eyes with a pained expression. When she came across a curious building, quite literally covered in scraps of paper with people's deepest, darkest confessions written on it, she had no idea what she'd find inside. Things that happened in his past swirl around him and it’s all very mysterious, not only to Tate but to readers also.

atlas talking and defending himself about the age he and lily had sex was really breaking the fourth wall. During his senior year of high school, Miles is instructed to help a new girl, Rachel from Phoenix, find Mr. I had the same experience with this book… the concept in this book with the confessions was a brilliant idea. Kyle and Jordyn’s wedding is a week away, and the latter is in distress; the former seems to be struggling as well, as Fallon witnesses him hit Ben.Sadly that was just the extent of how much I enjoyed the book because for the entire portion of the read, my emotions ranged from being baffled by these characters and mostly a whole lot of annoyance and frustration. I’ve also heard so many good things about “UGLY LOVE” may be this will convert me into CoHo fan as it converted you. Sadly, somewhere amidst the crazy brother-in-law's antics, Auburn and Owen's lack of action in so many areas, and their fast fall into love (I thought we would have had more scenes of them actually together), the story went a bit downhill for me. well, if you've read this then you can probably guess what i didn't remember because HOLY SHIT- the scene at the end.

Believing that Ben might have added this twist to make the plot fictional, Fallon flips to the prologue and reads that the death of Ben’s mother is somehow connected to the fire (they happened on the same November 9th). Heartbreakingly beautiful and achingly real, Confess is a wholly engrossing tale of two young people with many hurdles to overcome finding a love that is truly worth fighting for. Ian is a character not seen much in the book but he was a good friend to Miles and was kind and considerate, as far I could tell from this novel.I particularly loved the artwork included in the story and the idea behind confession inspired paintings.

I struggled mostly trying to connect with them or at least understand the connection they're sharing. If you love Atlas individually or Lily and Atlas as a couple, this is the book for you, you’d love this. The way Allysa and Marshall talk about Ryle as if he’s a little kid who just gets mean sometimes, instead of the violent wife beater and attempted rapist that he is, is so strange….I like that Auburn is a sweet, gentle and kind-hearted heroine, but I NEEDED her to stand up for herself more and fight for what she wanted and not always give in. But good lawd, I just got so frustrated by her lack of action to stand up for herself from time after time and right up to the point where she nearly got raped by Trey and how she just wanted to let it slide, that's when I nearly lost my shit with this read.
