All day sitting was very comfortable and because of the bit firmer cushion, I believe it will hold up well over time. Long periods of sitting are a stressor for the muscles and discs in your back, so it’s good to switch up your posture up every now and again.

Scoring a whopping 88 out of 100 for back support/comfort, the next closest chair, the Leap chair was six points behind.One positive of firm arm pads is they tend to hold up better than the softer materials used on other chairs.

The mesh-like FormSense eco knit textile that makes up the seat and backrest is made from upcycled plastic bottles and is both breathable and comfortable. The mesh back was hammock-like, cradling our back throughout the day and the seat pad, filled with high density foam, wasn’t too firm and so allowed for all-day comfort. For a chair that ranked as one of the most comfortable in our list, the arm pads are surprisingly firm. The lumbar or lower back region also needs to be well supported, while promoting good all-round posture, which is why plenty of adjustability is key. Here you could see a bit of the seam in the mesh backrests upholstery but would be hard to see unless closely inspected as I had done.Further options include high, mid or low back with adjustable seat, arms, tilt and back plus lumber support. The armrests are made from molded nylon that helps to keep the chair weight down, but the arm strength high. For those that haven’t assembled a lot of office furniture, it could take as long as 30 minutes to complete the assembly.

While the Vera is only available with one mechanism option, it is loaded with ergonomic adjustments. It was even able to take the number one spot for back support/comfort from chairs that were twice as much money.Coming from two of the most expensive chairs in the list, to this Vera, I honestly wasn’t disappointed.
