Description

To go on the Curious Quests with your children you must have a full understanding of Drawing Club. If you don't know how to use it then you need to do an online session on that first. The Curious Quests session and resources will not make sense without the context of Drawing Club and the online session will assume that you are familiar with its 4 Mini Moments. We now offer a free full-scholarship course for young people aged 10 - 14 who have a passion for drawing and a desire to improve their skills. They are open to anyone to apply through our application forms.

You will have abundant opportunities to show children the joy of SPAG and apply their phonic understanding too, though The Curious Quests does not tell you what to teach and when - that is down to you and your knowledge of your children and the curriculum. The Curious Quests, just like Drawing Club is more like an open-ended landscape to adventure in. Cash - You are welcome to pay cash, just come and see us at our office: City Academy, 38 Rosebery Avenue, London, EC1R 4RN Story Dough! is offering you the chance to 'book snuggle' with small groups of children, to spend quality time with them exploring stories, showing them the joy of manipulating play dough, sprinkling vocabulary, connecting mark making with positive emotion and above all going on an adventure with them into imagination and make-believe - all the things that childhood is looking for and the perfect opportunity to bring skills to life...Never got bored again: we add new drawings "every day" so you will ALWAYS find something new to enjoy.

The link in the Word document you're purchasing is like a key. Use it on the date and time specified and Greg will be waiting for you on Zoom with a free 45 minutes long walkthrough and your copy of the e-book at the end. Drawing is a practice both universal and ancient. These workshops – using the most basic of materials, pencil and paper – reconnect us with the present moment. You'll learn to relate your mark-making to both your surroundings and your imagination, rendering your thoughts, feelings and ideas on paper. Play Projects are an amazing way to unearth the magic of children. Created by Greg, Play Projects have creativity, collaboration and curiosity right at their heart and they are a brilliant way to create a culture of play within your classroom or setting. Play Projects even have the potential to take childhood upwards all the way to Year 6 as well as being perfect for online learning too :) Children love to create characters or draw pictures for stories. Make simple folded-paper comic books, or use this Kapow art lesson, which shows you how to make concertina books . Children can illustrate a story of their own or one they already know.

Looking for something different

His two education books ‘Can I Go And Play Now?’ and ‘School and the Magic’ of Children’ have attracted much attention with their call for education to embrace childhood and the ‘echoes of play’. Each Saturday morning session will be led by a different artist, and you’re welcome to drop into as many or as few as you’d like. All you'll need is a pencil, paper and rubber, with each session exploring different techniques and styles. You are effectively buying The Story Dough! e-book, a step by step guide to the 'how' of Story Dough! along with a free online walkthrough of the concept with Greg. A FREE Discord link to the online Scribble Club community enabling you to explore the joy of scribbling even further Nutrition Support Programme launched by the Early Years Alliance for Early Years Providers September 13, 2023

The Curious Quests combines short carpet sessions, group work and children exploring open-ended resources such as junk modelling, construction, playdough, role play and if possible, being outside. If you don't have 'continuous provision' like this then you can't go on the The Curious Quests. Do you love books and stories? Do you want to open up the magic world of tales and story to children whilst at the same time enriching their language skills, developing their fine motor and sharing really special time with them? Are you looking for an approach to Literacy that doesn’t involve laboriously learning stories for weeks on end, but instead immerses children into a world full of imagination where anything can happen and often does? Decorate a T-shirt or plain canvas bag using fabric pens, embroidery, or tie dye, or try glue batik ! Allow the children to take ownership of their design or, alternatively, give them a theme or special occasion as inspiration for creating a design.

Curriculum

The London Drawing Group is a collective of three contemporary artists currently practising in London. Although our practices are individually varied and diverse, we are brought together by our shared love of and passion for drawing. The app's design is very simple and lightweight and will work flawlessly on all mobile devices including old devices. Our Art Club is aimed at those who have a done a little drawing already and want to refresh their technique. The studio is well equipped and experienced art tutors will be on hand to help with ideas and guidance on materials. Bring your objects to draw or choose items from our props cupboard to make your own still life set ups. There will be opportunities for life and portrait drawing. Created as a precursor to Drawing Club, Story Dough! is a ten minute pop-up for adults and small groups of children to invent, wonder and bring imagination to life using a great big clod of playdough. And just like Drawing Club, you can take Story Dough! on an adventure with your children - the possibilities are endless as is the potential joy... The Dinner Party Provision approach is a way of deciding on what should be in your continuous provision and why - you can apply it to inside and outside environments. Nothing escapes Dinner Party Provision and it is a great way to immerse your team into the purpose of what they are making available and how co-play can work so brilliantly if the environment has brought the right 'gifts' to the party!
