He was a little afraid of breaking the outside of Thrash, but once he popped it, he was really interested in it! Like previous Marvel inspired Goo Jit Zu, kids can squeeze them and see their gooey bodies move and stretch.

The core, a small squishy ball in the middle of the Heroes, contains the character’s powers and needs to be crushed to active their “Goo Formation” – changing the look of the character. Crushing the core take a bit of effort, so don’t worry, you have no chance of doing it accidentally. She struggled slightly more to crush the red core than my son but once she managed it she was delighted to see Scorpius turn a darker purple.

The kids, especially my nine-year-old daughter, are big fans of the Heroes of Goo Jit Zu, loving the squishy and stretchy play and the fun characters. Just three years since that launch and several incarnations of Goo Jit Zu figures later, we have the Heroes of Goo Jit Zu Goo Shifters. As with the other Heroes of Goo Jit Zu toys, they take can take a lot of rough play with my son putting this to the test squishing and stretching Pantaro to its over and over again. Once this core has been squashed, the ‘Goo-formation’ starts to take place and the hero’s inner powers start to get released. To “Crush The Core” you need to squeeze the ball quite a few times ( the packet indicated 9 ) until you see the power emerge.Blazagon has an all-new Goo-formation" feature that allows kids to interact with him and release his special glowing power! tall Goo Shifters heroes including Blue Strike Spider-Man, Armored Energy War Machine, Vibranium Energy Blast Black Panther and Red Smash Hulk. However, after around half an hour little balls seem to form and by the next day he was full of them. They still have the fun stretchy and gooey element that my kids love but they also have a brand new inner core. After we crushed the core, Blazagon was filled with red, glittery good that was much thicker than the original filling.

Having seen on the packaging that the core appeared to contain little orbs, I was a bit confused by this transformation. But now there’s a new range of heroes to power up, the Heroes of Goo Jit Zu Goo Shifters have arrived!
