The first book in the series was ok in as much as I wanted to read to the end but only because I was mildly intrigued to see what would happen.I have read all of Clare Mackintosh’s previous novels and enjoyed them all tremendously so had great expectations but alas, they were not lived up to. I loved everything about this book - a brilliant, high-concept thriller with plot twists that made me gasp , and wonderful characters that had me laughing out loud and wincing in horror. This second book follows on from it and somehow makes the book more grounded and human- we get glimpses of the internal struggle to repel on another when infact they are attracted to one another. Not to be greedy, but please can we have a book 3 because im a little bit obsessed with this cast now!
