l found resources like Human Japanese to be super enjoyable because it was all material I knew already and it made for excellent review at the same time. If you're more academic and want to learn as much as possible, this is a great option for you because you can take your time and soak in the knowledge. Es un buen libro y al ser todo en japonés con Katakana, Kanji, Hiragana con Furigana te ayuda bastante a mejorar el hábito de la lectura de los caracteres, haciendo que con el tiempo distingas mejor y por consiguiente leas más rápido. I recommend it, no doubt, to assist a class with a Japanese teacher who can tell you what everything means, because it is a very good study material. I’ve been going through MNN but when I look online for tips and advice while studying Japanese a lot of people refer / mention the genki textbooks.

as someone who went through the whole Minna no Nihongo series (both 50 lessons for beginner and intermediate series) I would say that it’s pretty solid for class usage. that make up this book, the learner can practice his/her communication skills while improving his/her listening comprehension. The fact that it’s harder to look up what the sentence means, for me, means that I’m more likely to think about it and work it out before I look at the answer, which usually helps things stick better. There are textbooks for grammar, vocabulary, kanji, and even culture, so you can be sure that you’re getting a well-rounded education in all aspects of the language.

A third volume in the series for the Chukyu (Intermediate) level goes by the name An Integrated Approach to Intermediate Japanese without bearing the name Genki. I can tell you for sure that if i was learning japanese on my own I couldn’t have learned anything from minna no nihongo. Pronunciation is a key factor to understand and properly learn a new language, but you all know that.

Omdat beide series onder diverse benamingen voorkomen en diverse delen omvatten wordt het al snel verwarrend. Generally speaking, most people who use textbooks in a classroom can expect to finish the series within one year. On page 2 of each chapter, there are review questions, and comprehensive review question sections are set after so many chapters. The Hyojun Mondaishu is a workbook filled with questions to practise what you've learned in each chapter. By the way, I think the main reason they do that is so they can publish the materials for speakers of many different languages, from English, to Tamil, to Burmese!

I, for one, have all of the supplemental materials for MnN, and I'd say that if you have the funds to spend that amount of cash, it's a very good investment. I do agree with my teachers who said that it might have been easier if the books had started with the dictionary form right away - you only learn it in lesson twenty or so, and even then, the vocabulary lists stick to the 'masu' form. A total of 536 kanji are studied in the two books in this series (220 kanji in this book one and 316 in book two), covering the kanji required for the N4 and N3 levels of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test and some of the kanji required for the N2 level.

An Japanisch-Lernbüchern gibt’s leider nicht sehr viel, das Genki hattest du ja schon in ‘nem vorherigen Blogeintrag erwähnt (hab auch nur positives gehört von anderen Studenten, die vorher damit gearbeitet haben Like some people have mentioned, Genki is meant for classroom settings and can be a bit disorganized, but these videos help a lot with clarifying grammar points.I like that the main book is entirely in Japanese - it may not be the ‘recommended’ study path (per the textbook), but I usually learn the vocab, and then just read the lesson sentences - often I can infer what the grammar point means after I read a few sentences. D Man muss aber sagen, dass wir bevor wir mit dem Textbuch gelernt haben, Hiragana und Katakana und immer die passenden Vokabeln und Grammatik Seiten lernen mussten.

It's a little annoying that the set is divided into four books that you constantly have to switch between, but you'll get used to that as well. dicentra8 Orange Belt Posts: 117 Joined: Fri Sep 28, 2018 5:07 pm Location: Portugal Languages: Portuguese (N), Japanese (JLPT N3), Finnish (beginner), French (beginner) Language Log: https://forum. However, for all those who don't, get to learn the basic japanese alphabets beforehand - this book has them at the beginning, but not the translation of the sounds in rōmaji (latin letters) nor the sound of each character.Again, Genki is more concise while the Minna no Nihongo series offers you a whole variety of materials to study, practice, and specialize.
