Description

If you’re looking for authenticity, the choice is clear: Jamaican rum. Why settle for less when you can opt for the world-renowned Wray and Nephew White Overproof Rum and Appleton Estate Jamaica Rum? Partner them with a genuine fruit punch to capture that tropical essence in every sip. The Ingredients

Exuberant and appealing, the whites convey powerful notes of flowers and fruit with expressive fresh sugarcane juice aromas. This unique style comes from a rigorous selection of our sugarcanes, crushed within 24 hours of their harvest, and a careful distillation that complies with the pure traditional method in Creole columns, among which one is copper. Cynar is an artichoke based bittersweet liqueur known for its versatility and distinctive flavour; its taste is enriched by an infusion of 13 herbs and plants. The name of the drink derives from Cynar scolymus, the botanical name for artichoke, as artichoke leaves lend the distinctive flavour.

Wray and Nephew Rum uses

Cinzano Pinot Chardonnay comes from the natural fermentation of specially selected Pinot and Chardonnay grapes that provide the exclusive sparkling brut with its fragrant and fruity flavour. Sweet Edition is sweet, light and fizzy sparkling wine that is obtained from the noblest grapes, from selected vineyards within Italy. Perfect at the end of the meal, it best expresses its characteristics served iced and in slightly frosted glasses. Ideal for any occasion, it brings with it the flavor and aromas of Sardinia spread by the Mistral wind and recalls the carefree atmosphere of dinners in company. In strict accordance of AOC standards, our amber rums are matured for over 12 months in large-capacity oak tuns. Slowly and very gradually reduced to 40%, these few months spent in wood impart a superb golden, luminous hue to these delicate rums.

Despite this I wouldn’t really look to drink this on its own (even with water) it’s not bad but its youth means it still has a lot of rough edges and has a little bit too much burn to really enjoy as a sipper. The best rum for your rum punch is the famous Wray and Nephew White Overproof Rum and Appleton Estate Jamaica Rum, which are used in this recipe. Mixing a 25ml shot with a liberal dose of cola, I wasn’t expecting the taste (and mostly the smell) to be drowned out. Unlike many white rums, you still feel like you are drinking rum. It doesn’t disappear and it continues to add its rich flavours to the drink. This rum is very well made with a lot of fruity flavour adding to the cola. Born in Martinique in the Lesser Antilles in the eastern Caribbean Sea, Trois Rivières’ Rhum Agricole is distilled from freshly squeezed sugarcane juice.

Trois Rivières white rums are an absolute reference. They are smooth with a balanced body and an amazing aromatic array with vegetal, mineral and sea-water notes. In 1860 Wray brought in Charles James Ward, the son of his brother, to run the business side of the company. Ward was a dynamic and gifted entrepreneur, and under his leadership J. Wray and Nephew began a period of growth and prosperity. Wray retired in 1862 and died in 1870 leaving Ward as the sole proprietor of the business. [1] It is good to leave the rum punch to sit for a while before serving. So you can make the rum punch an hour or two before the party starts. But remember not to add ice! Can Rum Punch Get You Drunk?

I’ve read that Jamaicans prefer the white overproof over dark rums because there’s a sense that it’s somehow purer. And therefore, better for their health. And that belief certainly translates into sales. As it’s estimated that Wray and Nephew accounts for 90% of all rum sold in Jamaica! Wray and Nephew White Overproof Rum Cinzano Prosecco D.O.C. is an aromatic sparkling wine, from the best vineyard areas of the Colline Trevigiane. It is a young sparkling wine, with a vivacious froth and subtle but persistent perlage.

The award winning Cabo Wabo Tequila shines with smooth, authentic flavour and unique personality; it is created with respect of the long-standing tequila traditions that made it the drink of choice of the wise and venerated mystics of Mexico. No shortcuts are taken in making Cabo Wabo, unlike other brands which legally mix up to 49% of fillers and still call their product "tequila". At 126 proof (63% alcohol by volume), it’s also damn strong. And that high proof makes it quite popular in frozen drinks, rum punches, and other mixers. Good for ghosts? The Cinzano range of sparkling wines includes both sweet and dry versions, each with their own unique characteristics. The Cinzano sparkling wines are ideal for a toast, at the end of a meal, or for any special occasion. Pinot Chardonnay, Prosecco D.O.C., Rosé and Gran Sec are perfect as aperitif and best enjoyed in a flûte, whilst Asti D.O.C.G. and Gran Dolce are best offered at the end of a meal, in a champagne glass, to accompany dessert. It is said that 90% of rum sales in Jamaica are of this famous brand, used in Jamaican rum punches, Mai Tais and daiquiris. [5] Instructions: Begin with a glass filled with ice. Add grenadine, then combine lime, rum, and fruit punch. Gently pour the mix over the ice. For the final touch, garnish with a maraschino cherry. But remember, savor it, don’t gulp it!
