Description

Size class of the display as declared by the manufacturer. Often this is the rounded value of the actual size of the diagonal in inches. Under the TV’s skin is a new version of Samsung Quantum Processor, called the Neo Quantum Processor 4K. The big new feature here is referred to as Ultra Precision Light Driving, which involves more precise dimming and a local power distribution feature that sends power to the brightest areas of the picture and away from the darker parts. It also works in conjunction with a sensor integrated into the TV's frame to adjust brightness and contrast in response to ambient lighting conditions. There’s a new level of ‘deep learning’ applied to contrast enhancement, too. The same effortless balance is applied in regards to detail and sharpness, too. Where some TVs, including previous Samsung models, can over-sharpen edges and details, giving everything an artificially etched look, the QN95A ensures that everything is crisp and clearly defined without any of that exaggeration. The detail is all there, but it isn’t rammed down your throat, and that’s the way it should be.

The QE65QN94A enjoys a strikingly fulsome sound. Its mid-range is expansive and fleshed out by more prominent, smooth, distortion-free bass than you typically hear from built-in TV sound systems. With 4K HDR content, the Samsung QN94A moves into overdrive. Highlights are incredibly bright but don’t sacrifice detail. The QN94A delivers some of the punchiest, vibrant and colourful 4K HDR images I’ve seen.Motion is well handled too, so long as you select the Custom setting (which tends to cause quite a few unwanted side effects) and choose de-blur and de-judder settings of less than five. Dimensions, weight and color Information about the dimensions and the weight of the specific model with and without stand as well as the colors, in which it is offered to the market. Width There’s still no Dolby Vision support but you’ll be getting so much from HDR10 alone that it will hardly be on your mind. This is a great TV and a terrific buy at this price. Information about whether the stand can be dismounted. Usually, this is required for wall mounting. The result is a 4K HDR picture that we find a little more exciting than the similarly priced Sony A80J during bright scenes. Sony’s OLED is only a hair behind on dark detail and doesa little bit better at shading some scenes, but there’s still enough skill in the QN94A to give us a very three-dimensional feel as our hero climbs up the inside of the tall turbine tower.

Stunningpicture quality, features and design make this the ultimate in TV ownership. And we, here at Electronic World, offer you this stunning QE65QN94AATXXU at the cheapest price available. Great though the 65Q95T’s HD/SDR pictures are, the set is really designed to fly with 4K high dynamic range images. And fly it most certainly does. Once you get over the fact that the QE65Q95T isn’t as highly specified as Samsung’s 2019 4K flagship TV, it’s actually still an outstanding set. For most of the time pictures look gloriously sharp and vibrant, especially with HDR, and the new OTS system takes Samsung’s sound game to a whole new level. Spec-wise, there’s little difference between it and the QN95A we’ve already reviewed, other than it doesn’t have the One Connect box and sheds a few hundred pounds in the process. Design Information about the maximum horizontal viewing angle, within which the image on the screen is of acceptable quality.Game Motion Plus improves image quality, but is better suited for games that aren’t fast-twitch or have a more competitive element to them. Latency here is still better than the majority of TVs (13.7ms at 1080p/13.9ms at 4K), so you’re not losing much. HGiG HDR for improved tone-mapping/picture quality with supported games is also touted. The system works pretty well. The sound projects a good distance from the screen, and unlike last year’s Samsung TV sound systems, it also seems to come mildly forwards into the room, for greater immersion and impact. It’s early days for 2021 TVs, but Samsung has thrown down the gauntlet in emphatic style and it will be fascinating to see how its rivals respond.

The stand that supports the QN94A is one of the heaviest things I’ve lifted. If you’re inclined to wall-mount this set, I’d suggest putting the stand together anyway and using it for home workouts. It’s that heavy. Information about the number of pixels on the horizontal and vertical side of the screen. A higher resolution allows the display of a more detailed and of higher quality image. The quality of the latest AI-driven processor can be seen, too, in the set’s upscaling of HD sources. In the Standard picture preset this adds a remarkable sense of extra detail and pixel density to HD or even SD sources while simultaneously detecting and removing – or, at least, not exaggerating – any grain or noise a source might contain. Note, though, that in its Movie mode the upscaling adopts a much softer approach that personally we find hard to take after becoming accustomed to the sharpness of the Standard mode. Given Dolby Vision’s continued absence (I imagine Samsung doesn’t like its idea of picture quality dictated to them), you could view that as a win for LG since it can hit similar levels with less brightness. But not everything is in Dolby Vision, and the Samsung’ s high brightness means even standard HDR10 content is rendered in terrifically bright fashion. Sound qualityApproximate height of the display. If the manufacturer does not provide such information, the height is calculated from the diagonal and the aspect ratio. The OTS effect isn’t quite as accurate and the general levels of clarity aren’t as high as those you get with the premium speaker system built into Samsung’s Q950TS 8K flagship sets. But that’s hardly surprising given that the Q95T is half the price of its 8K sibling.
