Description

The Logitech G29/G920 is one of the most popular force feedback wheels on the market and it is easy to see why. This will create a ‘dead zone’ where the wheel will max its available output and you will lose feel at the harsher ends of force. One thing to note is on the bottom of the pedals there is a rotable grip pad that can be used on carpet to avoid the pedals slipping during use.

Dynamic damping controls the weight of your wheel while driving and will vary directly with your speed. With that being said, a safe bet would be to match these settings to allow for the best playing experience. However, as mentioned previously, the difference between G29 and G920 is based on which of these consoles the wheel is compatible with. I have removed the rubber from g29's brake pedal and it feels better but i am still facing difficulties while trail braking and sometimes understeer my car.Whether you are a new player to the popular SIM franchise or an experienced racer, there are some great tips included within this article to help you dial in like-for-like force feedback settings. Like all aspects of motorsport, the FFB settings may still require some adjustment to your personal preference. A piece of information to note is that it is best to make sure your rotation range is set to the full 900⁰ and also to uncheck the centering spring box, as the force feedback will provide this feeling within the game. When you first install your wheel, often the manufacturer will provide a guide on how to set up and calibrate your wheel.

A quick definition describes FFB as the relative rotational force provided by the steering wheel to replicate the in-game steering wheel movements. When the car turns into a bend, the weight of the car moves onto the outside wheels, as the weight transfers, the force through the steering wheel will change. Compete against official drivers, teams, cars and official circuits reproduced to the highest quality ever seen. It must be noted for PC players in ACC that this setting will auto adjust giving your wheel a soft lock at the correct wheel rotation for the steering lock of each car.Whereas, other drivers will have a lower ratio providing more response off centre within a cars steering range. Getting the ratio between the game and your own steering wheel correct is what will allow you to have a 1:1 representation between real life and the game.

Steering Lock is the maximum angle of rotation applied through the steering wheel to get the maximum angle out of the car’s steering. Draw your attention to the right hand side column and move your wheel and engage each pedal looking at the red bar below to indicate all is being registered as expected. This article aims to give you a better depth of knowledge regarding the specific settings within ACC and the settings related to your particular setup. It is widely thought that direct drive steering wheels such as the Fanatec range provide a better feel than belt driven and gear driven wheels, like the Logitech and Thrustmaster’s. Steering Ratio is the relationship between the angle of the steering wheel outputs changes to the wheel of the car.It is important to understand that unless you own a motion rig, air padded seats or vibration plates, the only way you will get any ‘real world’ feedback from a racing game will be through your FFB. Once the game has booted up the wheel should now be able to control the menu features the arrow buttons and face buttons.

You can also record your own macro keystrokes for quick functions but this is not essential for playing ACC. Anyways, do any of you compete with top players with beginner setup or do you know any people doing so?Founded in 2020, Advanced SimRacing is the fastest-growing North American racing simulation chassis manufacturer and digital motorsport equipment retailer. To know when your wheel is clipping in ACC can be quite difficult, as there is no in-game display showing the force output to the wheel. When plugging in the usb do not have your hands on the wheel as this will begin the calibration process and rotate through the full motion of the wheel.
