What I appreciate most is that the lowest speed setting produces just the right amount of air - a light breeze - to work comfortably for 8 hrs+ without drying out my eyes. And it's nearly silent. During the day I can't hear it unless I'm right next to it, and at night it's barely audible. Because it's tall, the airflow covers my entire body, which provides a greater level of comfort. Gently place the fan on its side, pressing the cord securely into cord guides along the inside of fan base, exiting through the notched opening ensuring a flat and stable base for the fan. What we really liked about this was that it was not only quiet, but it also has an automatic light dimmer which dims the LED by 50%. We found that it was dim enough to not disrupt sleep at all. As we touched on above, this Honeywell tower fan is a great budget option for cooling your home, it also comes with a good range of features considering its low price. One brand that consistently produces high quality products is Honeywell. With this in mind, we took it upon ourselves to test and review the Honeywell HYF26E QuietSet Tower Fan to see what it had to offer. Please carry on below for more information.

But does it live up to its name? Yes, it actually does. The most impressive thing about it is that the difference between the top and bottom fan speeds isn’t actually that great in terms of volume to the naked ear. Indeed, bringing out the sound level metre reveals a volume of 72.9db at max speed when recorded immediately in front of the fan, dropping to 47db two metres away. That’s both slightly better and worse than the Dyson Pure Cool (70db / 51.9db) in the same metrics, but given the Honeywell is quieter at 2m and costs a fraction of the price, it’s a great result. We tested all 5 modes and we were really impressed by how powerful each of them is. We were also really surprised by how quiet this fan was, even at the medium to high wind modes. We wanted to test out the night mode next. Overall, we think for the price, this Honeywell tower fan has a great level of power and speed options for control, its oscillation is good for a small room and its quiet system makes the fan especially useful on hotter summer nights.

The reduced noise level is partly down to fan speed reduction, of course. Our anemometer reached 3.6m/s immediately in front of the fan (compared to other Honeywell scores of 4.4 and 5.1m/s) but measuring again two metres away, the difference was barely noticeable (0.7m/s against 0.8 and 1.2m/s). It does, however, have a slightly more limited angle of cooling than its stablemates, with a 60-degree spread of air movement, compared to the HO-5500RE’s 70 degrees. Conclusion To see whether or not this Honeywell model is right for you, we have reviewed the tower fan and its features in more detail below, as well as its pros and cons. I didn't think I'd want or need a remote control for a fan but it's very nice to have, especially when running it at night.

Honeywell is very well known for producing high quality products for home heating and cooling, so we already assumed that we were going to be impressed with this tower fan and we were definitely not wrong. So without further ado, let's get into it! Main Features Of The Honeywell QuietSet Whole Room Tower Fan Taking the tower fan out of the box, the first thing that we needed to do was to assemble the fan. Fortunately, we were very happy to see that this was just a matter of screwing the base onto the fan which took us only a matter of minutes. We were then ready to test the fan out properly. This Honeywell tower fan truly is great value money if you are on a budget, so to help make your final decision about whether or not you should buy it we have summarised its pros and cons below to make things clearer. Pros Of The Honeywell Tower Fan

If you have already started looking into tower fans, then you will be aware that there are many brands on the market at the moment and some of them are better than others. This Honeywell Quietset whole room model, in particular, is a very affordable option for cooling down you down during the summer and has great adjustability as well as speed options.Honeywell is very popular in the tower fan market and has created a huge range of quiet and affordable products to choose from. The quiet Night mode offers a similar volume to other Honeywell fans on their low settings, with a score of 68db. Unlike other Honeywell fans, night mode doesn’t alternate fan speeds, so light sleepers needn’t worry about changes in volume, either. This Honeywell quietset whole room model has standard adjustment settings for its price, it doesn't include an extensive timer range, but this is expected for the money, the remote control is great for operating the device from a distance. Design One of the best ways for you to keep cool this summer is to invest in a high quality tower fan, whether this is for your home or your office. A good tower fan really can make the world of difference. Bladeless fans may be a bit pricier than their bladed counterparts, but they bring plenty of benefits. The design itself makes it a conversation piece. Chances are, some people you know have never even seen one in person. But there are plenty of other great reasons to choose a bladeless fan for your home or office.

The first thing that really impressed and surprised us was the amount of speed options that are available. Rather than your typical 3 wind modes, the Honeywell QuietSet Tower Fan has 5 different wind modes to choose from. When it’s time to clean dust and debris from your bladeless fan, it’s far easier than with a fan with blades. You don’t have to work around those blades, after all, which makes it a breeze. However, some bladeless fans tend to attract dust and potentially create more work for you. The design is also said to shake a lot when it oscillates and the model does not come with any wind modes to adjust breeze or purification functions to filter the air, but this is expected for the lower price. This Honeywell model can be controlled via its remote control from a distance and has an 8-hour timer to control when you want the fan to automatically turn off and shut down at specific times. On its highest setting it produces less air than our old fan, but it's more than enough for a large master bedroom. In fact, we've never used anything above the middle speed setting.

Expert Reviews

To conclude, if you are on a very tight budget and you are looking for a standard tower fan that has a decent air flow and variable speed settings to cool you down, then you should consider this Honeywell model. One of the best things about bladeless fans is that they’re easier to clean than those with blades. However, some fans have louvered vents for adjusting airflow. Those vents make cleanup a little more challenging. The Dyson Cool Air Multiplier Tower Fan has air-intake vents that can pull dust inward, and you’ll have to vacuum those on a fairly regular basis. It’s important to follow the manufacturer’s directions for cleaning to avoid damaging the motor. We use a fan upstairs to supplement our AC. I use to cool the bedroom/office where I've been working since Covid hit and to cool my side of the bed. Our old fan was a pedestal mount with a 20" blade and at its lowest speed produced too much air to work comfortably. Running it all night would dry out my sinuses. And it was noticeably loud, especially at night. The only downside with this tower fan that we noticed is that the degree of oscillation is only 90 degrees which is going to be a little restrictive if you have a large room that you want to cool.
