On the flip side, there’s not a lot that’s new in terms of camera hardware. The Pixel 6a’s primary camera is the same 12.2MP (f/1.7) sensor previously used by the Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5, while the 12MP (f/2.2) wide-angle unit is identical to the one found in the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. An 8MP (f/2) selfie camera sits inside a central hole punch notch on the front of the phone. Google saves on the resolution of the dual main camera of its latest budget smartphone: the 114° wide-angle and super-wide-angle modules only have 12 megapixels. However, the main camera is equipped with electronic and optical image stabilisation. It is possible to shoot videos in 4K at 60 fps. However, a telephoto lens is absent. In low light, the shots seem to be no match for their more expensive siblings, but the sharpness may be exaggerated. With the front camera, it is possible to create videos in Full HD at 30 fps. Above-Average Performance It contends pretty well, I think, at least in this ultrawide angle shot of a moose statue placed in front of some colorful houseboats. Both photos have some bending around the edges, but it's less prominent in the Pixel 6a shot. I also think Google's did a better job keeping the moose in focus and making it stand out against the marina and the ice plants. In terms of color, it's pretty much a push, which I think speaks well of the Pixel 6a's photo processing capabilities.

Real Tone from Pixel 6 comes to Pixel 6a. So photos represent different skin tones beautifully and authentically. It's a handset we recommend to not only Android purists but also anyone tempted to make the jump from an Apple iPhone SE and even from the 6a's latest successor, the Pixel 7a.Band 1, Band 2, Band 3, Band 4, Band 5, Band 7, Band 8, Band 12, Band 13, Band 14, Band 17, Band 18, Band 19, Band 20, Band 25, Band 26, Band 28, Band 29, Band 30, Band 32, Band 38, Band 39, Band 40, Band 41, Band 42, Band 48, Band 66, Band 71 The Pixel 6a’s scenic images are simply stunning, producing sharp, intricate details and accurate exposures every time you press the shutter button. On a sunny weekend walk around Valentines Park in London, the Pixel 6a captured sun-dried foliage beautifully, with a pleasingly neutral colour rendition to boot. The main pros are the cameras. They can square up (and then some) with the iPhones, Samsungs, and their elder brothers (6 and 6 Pro) and come away unscathed, even victorious in some scenarios. Colours are natural, and there is enough detail in the photos. The slow 18W charging is a bit of a bummer, too. The regular Pixel 6 supported a maximum power delivery of 30W (with wireless and reverse wireless charging) so it’s a bit disappointing not to see that here. Google Pixel 6a review: Software The Pixel 6a posted vastly better Geekbench 5 numbers than the Galaxy A53 — 1,057 vs. 745 in the single-core test and a 2,918 vs. 1,888 mismatch in multicore testing. In terms of graphic testing, the Pixel 6a's 41 frames per second result on the 3DMark Wild Life Unlimited benchmark outpaced the Galaxy A53's 13 fps result. The most telling result came from our real-world testing, in which we use Adobe Premiere Rush to transcode a video. The Pixel 6a completed the task in 49 seconds, while the Galaxy A53 needed a little less than 2 minutes.

The Pixel 6a debuted with Android 12, but it's already able to run Android 13— the first of three years of software updates Google guarantees for its budget phone. However, in a world where Samsung now guarantees four Android updates for phones including the Galaxy A53, Google's policy feels a little skimpy. Hopefully, now that it's making its own silicon, Google will get a little more generous with its software updates. Google Pixel 6a vs. Google Pixel 7 Pixel's Adaptive Battery can last over 24 hours. It learns your favourite apps, so it doesn't waste power on the ones that you rarely use. The new Pixel 7a boasts the latest 2nd-gen version of this chip, but our long-term use hasn't changed our opinion on its performance: It's smooth and speedy to use, and we haven't encountered crashes or shuttering when taking snaps. Battery life has proven to be quite a puzzler with the Pixel 6a. Google promises up to 24 hours of regular usage from the phone, with an Extreme Battery Saver Mode increasing that to 72 hours by turning off features and pausing many apps. That's despite the fact that the Pixel 6a battery is actually smaller than it was on the Pixel 5a — 4,410 mAh vs 4,680 mAh on the Pixel 5a. Speaking of charging, the Pixel 6a supports charging speeds of up to 18W, though you'll have to buy your adapter separately. Using a 15W charger I had handy, I was able to get a drained Pixel 6a to 20% after 30 minutes of charging. Surely, an 18W charger would charged the Pixel 6 up a little bit more, but probably not enough to top the 46% we saw with the Galaxy A53 and its 25W charging. Google Pixel 6a review: Software and special featuresx 1080 (1080p) at 30 fps, 1920 x 1080 (1080p) at 60 fps, 3840 x 2160 (4K) at 30 fps, 3840 x 2160 (4K) at 60 fps With a 6.1-inch display, the Pixel 6a isn't a small phone, but it's much more compact than the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro — closer to the iPhone 13. So, if you found the Pixel 6 to be big, this affordable alternative feels better. That said, you may still want to invest in a cover to protect the rear panel, which seems a bit easier to scratch. Google Tensor makes Pixel 6a super smart, secure and powerful. It's the first chip designed by Google just for Pixel.

Dosť možností úpravy obrazovky, šetrenia baterky, pomocné funkcie pre hendikepovaných, asistent atď. I didn't notice many differences in performance between the Pixel 6a and the Pixel 6, when it came to switching between apps or even playing demanding games like PUBG Mobile. If I have one complaint about Pixel 6a performance, it's that on-screen buttons near the corners of the phone didn't feel as responsive as other areas of the screen, often requiring very precise touches. It's not a huge issue, but it is a noticeable one. Google Pixel 6a review: Battery life and chargingTurn on Extreme Battery Saver, and the battery can last up to 72 hours. You can choose which apps to keep running and Pixel turns the others off. Tensor is the star of the show when it comes to special features, delivering capabilities to the Pixel 6a you'd expect from more premium phones. Magic Eraser makes the move from the Pixel 6 to the Pixel 6a, allowing you to remove unwanted bystanders and objects from your pictures with a tap, as I did with the two passersby in this selfie. Whether it's the smaller battery, the demands of the Tensor chip or some other factor, the Pixel 6a fell flat on our battery test, in which phones surf the web continuously until they run of power. The Pixel 6a lasted an average of 6 hours and 29 minutes, which is more than 3 hours behind the Pixel 5a's result on that same test. Even worse, the Pixel 6a trailed the iPhone SE (2022), and we consider the 9 hour, 5 minute time that Apple's phone produced to be below average for a smartphone.
