Description

Robert de Board's engaging account of Toad's experience of counselling will capture the imagination of the growing readership of people who are interested in counselling and the counselling process. Written as a real continuation of life on the River Bank, Toad and his friends come to life all over again.

Heron, the counsellor, uses the language and ideas of transactional analysis as his counselling method. Through the dialogues which make up the ten sessions, or chapters of the book, Toad learns how to analyse his own feelings and develop his emotional intelligence. He meets his 'rebellious child' and his 'adult' along the way, and by the end of the book, as debonair as ever he was, is setting out on a completely new adventure. As readers learn about Toad, so they can learn about themselves and be encouraged to take the path of psychological growth and development. Because of this method, Toad was able to learn about his intelligence and emotional intelligence where his sessions were demonstrated as each chapter of this book. I didn’t dislike anything but I see the counselling journey as far more muddy than outlined here. That said the conciseness of the book captures TA’s essence and keeps the story engaging.As the reader learns about Toad, the story sheds light on our own lives, psychological growth and development. It particularly highlights how to recognise depression, how talking therapy may benefit someone who is depressed, as well as what people can do for themselves. This kind of book was made for readers to know how important counselling is for mental health and can bring readers to seek counselling when they truly need it. The psychoactive effects of this medication can take hours which the personnel will be observing in those hours. At some point in our lives, we all face challenges that can feel overwhelming and difficult to overcome.

Studies have recently found that toad venom may be an effective alternative from the mentioned medication.People who were suffering from anxiety and depression were mostly able to improve from their mental health complications from this medication. After less than an hour, patients will get off from the drug’s effects and find themselves feeling normal again. This means you should have someone monitor while you take this medication to guide you in your troubles with movement. Some people who have taken this drug state that they feel much better and they feel like they have moved in another place of existence. verifyErrors }}{{ message }}{{ /verifyErrors }}{{

A delightful book which...offers a gentle introduction to Transactional Analysis and much more. -- Relate News Heron is the counsellor in the Counselling For Toads book where he used transactional analysis as his counselling method. This is an ideal book for those thinking about trying counselling as it will give you some idea of what to expect and what it might be like for you. I can not recommend it enough, thoroughly informative and engaging. This is a fantastic book. Well written and easy to understand and follow. The counselling process is very eloquently explained from beginning to end and as Toad learns to understand himself and the world around him I could feel his progress and felt genuine empathy with him when the work got hard. You should look at this medication as a psychotherapeutic retreat where everyone gathers for a session.
