Unsurprisingly, for a pushchair that performs well off-road, this Out n About double buggy has been designed to clean up nicely. Each seat liner is wipe-clean, but for serious spills they’re easy to remove and machine washable. They fared well in our tester’s washing machine (washed only once following juice spillages), without fading, bleeding or shrinking. The sun hoods are equally easy to remove and can be washed if necessary.

I know the mountain buggy is slimmer, heavier and more expensive vs the out and about that is wider, lighter and cheaper. I can assure you that the nipper is one of if not the narrowest on the market it fits through all single doorways. I love seeing people's faces when I come up to doors and they say that'll never fit and hey presto it does!

I've had my nipper for a year and love it - never needed to put car seats on it even when they were tiny. While the Nipper Double looks wide thanks to its larger-than-average wheels, it’s actually one of the narrowest side-by-side models on the market (72cm, narrower than the Mountain Buggy Nano Duo or the Bugaboo Donkey Twin) – and, at 12.8kg, it’s also one of the lightest we tested.The Nipper Double Carrycot is suitable for use with the Nipper Double V2, V3 & V4 pushchair and the Little Nipper Double. I had narrowed it down to the same two prams, but the nipper is several kilograms lighter, so easier to lift into a car - I am not very strong, particularly when tired! It was also cheaper, plus the bit at the front is almost like an extra seat which my son sits in when tired! I considered a sling yes and I have one from my DD... but this period lasts for just a few months, same as when a carrycot is needed, but then what? I thought of a board but having a 2.5 year old at a board may be a bit premature or is it ok? And then, they may also fight on who will sit at the buggy? For this reason I started looking at twin buggies and I shortlisted the out and about double and the mountain buggy duet. The seats look narrow, but in reality were among the roomiest we tested, with a solid foot plate and comfortable padded liners that can also be removed. The reclining mechanism uses a clip and straps that feel secure, even with a larger toddler weighing down the seat. It won’t take a full supermarket shop, but should easily contain book bags, handbags and midweek pints of milk. The Nipper also comes with a large, effective rain cover as standard, which our tester found easy to use even in the most unexpected of downpours. How safe is the buggy?

One kid is always squished and most say that the tandem buggies are unstable in the double mode. Please advise if this is not the case.
