Thanks all so much for replies, it's some relief to know it's a fairly common problem I don't get Colief on prescription unfortunately my GP and HV have not shown much interest in the problem as my son is healthy and gaining weight (in fact above average weight for his age), he was quite a big baby (8lb 8oz born and 12.7 now), they just say it will pass once he hits 3/4 months old but as you say that seems ages away at the moment when theres hours of crying each day
