Description

Sarah lives near London, England with her family and when she isn't writing or reading, she likes to spend time outdoors hiking or riding her mountain bike. This was the fairy tale, but she’d never liked fairy tales. Occasionally growing up she’d read them to Clemmie, but her sister had been unimpressed by Alice’s version of the stories. The princess doesn’t punch the prince, Alice, and she doesn’t cook the frog in garlic butter. But this is the one Christmas book I think perfect summarises any family Christmas. I mean for those of you that have the family together, we know siblings fight. There’s secrets kept from family members because of the pressure of their reactions. This book fully absorbs that these family tiffs are part of what makes Christmas interesting. And it helps if one of the best characters is a nosy Nan that deliberately interferes (in best interests of course)!

She sat, made miserable by memories, and then caught sight of Arnie’s face and felt guilty for being selfish and thinking about herself when he was going through hell. He was worrying about everyone’s futures. She was intimidated by gyms and she had no reason to wear sportswear. Her exercise regime involved racing round London meeting clients and influencers, and scoping out new cool places to include in their visual campaigns. In photos.” Maya put her cup down. “He did some fitness challenge for charity last summer—trust me, I would have handed over my credit card happily.” Once again Sarah Morgan has managed to craft the perfect festive read - it's warm and cosy, heartwarming, full of romance, a spectacular setting, a family I fell in love with, and lashings of shortbread and snow. It's everything you could wish for in a Christmas story and more. Arnie, who had set up this company over thirty years ago. Arnie, who had left his family’s Christmas celebrations to be by her side in the hospital when her grandmother had died two years earlier.

What I got: Half a dozen female point of views. Lucy, both of Ross' sisters and his mother. No point of view for Ross, but it wasn't needed because this wasn't Lucy and Ross's holiday romance story. (Lucy and Ross don't even meet until 40 % into the damn book!) This is a holiday contemporary fiction story following 4 woman as they navigate personal drama. Lucy - not part of the family but works for a London based marketing company who have suffered a blow which will threaten jobs. Lucy dreads this time of year as she lost her parents when she was younger and more recently her gran brought her up now she is alone.

I suspect it will be Ted playing with the train set,” Arnie said. “Now, exciting though this is, we should return to business. Where were we? Fingersnug. Lucy? Are you on it?” Safety is fine for everyone. No virgins and no OP except for a mention of a girl Fergus dated 5 years ago, that turned out to be nothing. Snowed In for Christmas by Sarah Morgan is a wonderful Christmas contemporary romance that is full of family mayhem and memories. The story in Snowed In for Christmas is one that is told by changing the point of view between the various characters to show all sides. Clemmie - The youngest who has none of the ambition of her siblings, she is a highly sought after Nanny a job her mother has never understood why she needed to go to London because of all her kids Clemmie was the one who was more suited to live in the highlands. Clemmie has her reasonsSnowed in for Christmas is my first holiday book of 2022 but I already know this will be one of my favourites. I’ll be buying this book as a gift to each of the readers in my life to enjoy in December. This book was all things hilarious, with just a tad of grief and sadness mixed in. But I just couldn’t put it down - from the blurb you know that Lucy is going to turn up and be mistaken as Ross’ girlfriend but you need to understand that the fact “Actual Lucy” is in their house is soooo troublesome!
