My Waveceptor from about 2006 says 10 bar (it’s still on its first battery, but has a solar charger). Given [Rotislav’s] results, we’d be far more confident getting our affordable Casio watches a little wet. Obviously, we wouldn’t expect to make a warranty claim if damage occurred from use outside the specs, but it’s clear the watch is far more capable than standards might suggest. If that’s not enough though, you can always set about modifying the watch to improve its water resistance even further. After wearing the W59, I do consider it better than the F-91W. Same functionality, same great legibility, same great reliability, bigger buttons. Works great. Although I've not tested this, the F105W is supposedly 27g in weight while the F-91W is 20g. I don't feel the 7g difference if there is one, and I don't think anyone else would.

Where nightlights are concerned, Casio really got it right with this one. It has that just-right luminance that makes it a joy to use. The aqua color and contrast of the nightlight is also perfect. You couldn't ask for better. Ages ago, I went for a dive using my a Timex Ironman digital watch, I can’t remember what exactly it was rated for, but I think it was 100m / 300 ft. IIRC after about 30 feet, the pressure is sufficient that the buttons do not work any more- they all get pushed in at the same time because the pressure outside easily overcomes the small amount of atmospheric pressure inside the watch. So I guess it is technically correct that depth and submersion didn’t damage the watch, but it was functionally useless. I suspect that would be the case for this Casio in the article. Dont know about the f91 but this may give you an idea and it is very nicely written. Its about a Casio A158. Practically the same watch only with Steel bracelet and chromed case. Technical amendments and errors excepted. The sizes in figures do not correspond to the original sizes.

People all over the world love the F-91W because it just works. The only complaint anyone ever has about the F-91W is that the nightlight is terrible. Solution? Buy an F105W. Problem solved. I’ve seen warnings about watches after the battery’s been changed, the integrity not as good. I suspect using the buttons underwater might be risky.

When you want an F-91W with bigger buttons that are easier to press, this watch nails it.
