If you were like me and my friends in school where we had nothing better to do than ship teachers, it is a thing people do. Often times, we think teachers are just part of the furniture and incapable of emotions.I like the fact that they had their time to shine and were able to find happiness out of a trip meant to entertain and teach the students. Realistically enough, since it’s not all a bed of roses, Alice Oseman also portrays the struggles of newfound love, especially for young queer couples. First and foremost, the most recurrent topic in this volume of Heartstopper is the constant battle of coming out. Contrarily to common misconception, as Oseman very poignantly highlights, coming out is a very tiring process which queer people have to go through time and time again: with relatives, friends, potential partners, and—the worst of all—nosy acquaintances. There is no doubt that Alice Oseman’s works always manage to stir some majorly strong emotions with narratives that lend a strong voice and shed a light on the struggles of teenagers with utmost and tactful care. Yet, these feelings are heightened to exorbitant levels in Heartstopper, for Alice Oseman makes the most of her masterful handling of non-verbal stylistic devices. Her use of the shape and organisation of panels to express feelings without words, along with their dynamic organisation help in keeping the story going and rising emotional responses that words would have probably left unattended. And who has noticed the curious little details Oseman includes in her comics? Have you noticed that Radio Silence—one of her previous works—appears a couple of times throughout this volume? Does Aled know that there is a book written about him? Metafiction at its finest!

Now an acclaimed live-action Netflix series!* Boy meets boy. Boys become friends. Boys fall in love. I’m really happy to live where I live and have the opportunities I do. I also find great enjoyment in reading about the experience of others around the world within their works of fiction. ★Rating★ Realistic yet uplifting, this tale of self-discovery will make readers' hearts skip a beat." — School Library Journal Now an acclaimed live-action Netflix series! Boy meets boy. Boys become friends. Boys fall in love. An LGBTQ+ graphic novel about life, love, and everything that happens in between: this is the third volume of the bestselling Heartstopper series. I was blown away. It's very tender, real, and wholesome. I read each book in one sitting." — The Nerd DailyPlease note that there will be NO graphic or explicit imagery of any kind (e.g. violent, disturbing, or sexual) in this comic. I’ve started many projects. Some of which won’t ever be finished. I have journals on top of journals, and unfinished manuscripts that I attend to from time to time. My current projects are NaNo2019 Novel[Completed], # Realise [On Hold] and The Inversion [On Hold]. I post writing content on Wednesdays! Absolutely delightful. Sweet, romantic, kind. Beautifully paced. I loved this book." — Rainbow Rowell, author of Carry On Meanwhile, Tao and Elle will face their feelings for each other, Tara and Darcy share more about their relationship origin story, and the teachers supervising the trip seem… rather close…?

When I’m not doing my 7.5 hours at work or mindlessly watching YouTube videos; you’ll find me lurking in bookstores, talking to myself (no joke I actually do this); or eating. Though not at the same time, because books + food = bad! What kind of privileges do kids in the UK get that they’re able to just wander over to Paris for a couple of days with school? I am so jealous! I literally live on the lowest point of a huge ass island at the bottom of the world and to go overseas with the school you have to be 1) taking the language subject of the country you’re travelling to, and 2) put in an application, competing against fourteen other girls in your year level to go. I’m glad he only appears in a small section of the comic or I would have a whole lot more to say about him and his douchiness. It makes me angry! Introducing the PRIDE COLLECTION 🏳️‍🌈 Six handcrafted bookmarks that are now for sale in the Jasper and Spice Shop!
