She has worked in English prisons which is where she recognised how many children with undiagnosed or unmanaged ADHD can fail terribly in school leading to a downward spiral in life. I picked up this book as an educator and mom who has always struggled with ADHD in hopes of understanding my students and myself better and learning new strategies to help. Thank you to the author for putting herself out there the way she does to help the Neuro-divergent community. These are children who react to situations in what only can be described as extreme frustration and angst.

Sarah Templeton is candid in her descriptions of the challenges that can (and most often do) arise when raising a child with ADHD, but offers frank explanations and guidance. I like the parts where children with ADHD talk about their thoughts and feelings, and how certain things we do as parents make them feel.Also, in the USA the pediatrician is able to treat ADHD and you don't have to go through a therapist.

It is from this book, which I have listened to numerous times now, recommended to EVERYONE, including my 9 year old’s school, I found ‘ Headstuff ADHD Therapy‘.Purely because nobody including teachers, CAMHS, GPs, probation, the police and prison services and charities working in the sectors haven’t spotted it.
