We recommend that you do not rely solely on the information presented here and that you always read labels, warnings, and directions before using or consuming a product. Kyoto is a place where a unique and ancient culture continues to flourish alongside a modern, cutting-edge society. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average.

Botanicals are divided into six different categories, known as 6 Elements, macerated in rice spirit and then distilled individually. ABV, KI NO BI uses a rice spirit base and peerless water sourced in the famous sake– brewing district, Fushimi. uk accepts no liability for inaccuracies or misstatements about products by manufacturers or other third parties. Urban Bar take our design rights and intellectual property very seriously, we do not create items for others to copy.

The botanicals are grouped into six flavour camps, which are individually distilled before being expertly blended. The gin is, unusually, based on a rice spirit and draws on local Japanese botanicals such as yellow yuzu, hinoki (cypress wood), sansho pepper, bamboo leaf and gyokuro tea. The city allows us to make use of the world-famous Fushimi water and the fruits, spices and teas of the region, as well as collaborating with artisans whose families have perfected their craft over 10 generations or more. This is an exceptional first foray by Japan into the world of gin, bringing a decidedly new flavour profile to delight gin enthusiasts and experimental mixologists alike. KI NO BI Dry Kyoto Dry Gin is created with Japanese botanicals such as yellow yuzu from the north of Kyoto Prefecture, hinoki wood chips (Japanese cypress), bamboo, gyokuro tea from the Uji region and green sansho (Japanese peppercorn) berries. In what may be a world first, KI NO BI Kyoto Dry Gin has been aged in oak barriques sourced from the Champagne region’s Argonne Forest and previously used to mature Henri Giraud’s finest Champagnes. If the vintage of a wine is important to you then please leave a note at checkout advising us of this. Finally, the gin is blended with the exceptional water of Fushimi, long famous for its fine sake brewing. It helps us understand the number of visitors, where the visitors are coming from, and the pages they navigate. The spirit is then left to marry which allows the disparate flavours to harmonise, giving perfect balance. The data collected including the number visitors, the source where they have come from, and the pages viisted in an anonymous form. These distillates are then masterfully blended together before being left to marry, allowing the different flavours to harmonise and creating perfect balance. This gin is made in a recognisable dry style but with a distinct Japanese accent and is created with Japanese botanicals. Encouraging consistency of flavour to produce a super-premium gin and completely in harmony with its Kyoto home.
